I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm beeping. I quickly reached over and smacked it causing it to fall off of my nightstand and hit the floor with a thud.

I grabbed my phone and scrolled through my notifications ignoring most of them but stopping when I saw Grayson's name.

I quickly clicked on iMessage revealing a text from him.

Grayson: Hey, I need to ask you something. Meet me at starbs at 1?

Me: starbs.. really? yeah, see you then💁🏼

Grayson: yes. really haha

Me: 🙄💁🏼

I slowly rolled out of bed not wanting to get up even though it was after 10am.

I hate getting out of bed.

I walked out of my room and headed into the bathroom hopping into the shower hoping it would help wake me up a bit.

I always sing in the shower, it's just a habit so I began to sing my heart out as the warm water ran over my head and my back.

'Someone like you' by Adele is what I decided to sing today, seeing as it is one of my favorites by her.

I sang the whole song remembering every lyric as I sang them.

I really do love singing.

Once I was done, I wrapped a towel around my body and opened the door revealing my whole family standing outside of the door.

"Um" I said seeing as I was only wrapped in a towel.

"That was amazing Em!" My Grandma cheered happily

"You're so talented honey, I don't see why you won't share that talent outside of the bathroom" my mom said

"I agree" my dad said nodding his head

"You are really good" Jake said with a smile

"You're actually not terrible at something" my annoying sister Maddie added sassily causing my mom to look over at her in annoyance

I rolled my eyes at her.

"I'm not that good guys" I said walking past them and opening the door to my room

"But you are!" My grandma argued

"I just wish you could see that" my Grandma said quietly patting my arm

My mom and dad smiled at me turning away to head back downstairs.

I just nodded "thanks grandma" I said with a small smile as I walked into my room to go get dressed.

My whole family seems to think I have some kind of 'talent' when it comes to singing but I just don't see it.

I guess I'm not terrible.... I don't know

It doesn't matter anyways, it's not like id ever use it for anything even if I was good.

I walked over to my phone and put my 'getting ready' playlist on shuffle while I got dressed.
