Chapter 2: Sins

The 4 step into the local shop.

Shopkeeper: "What the hell was that?! I thought I heard an explosion!"

Jay: "You did, thank me for that."

Jay and Jake walk in.

Jake: "(panting) Somewhat cooler in here, thank god!"

Shopkeeper: "(puzzled) Who the hell are these two?"

Jade: "Two guys who saves our asses and have strange abilities."

Shopkeeper: "What kind of abilities?"

Jay: "Telekinesis and...."

Jay looks at Jake still panting about the heat.

Jay: ".....(sighs) Elemental manipulation and weapon form changing."

Shopkeeper: "Those aren't sin abilities... who exactly are you two?"

Jake stops panting for a bit to talk.

Jay: "Thank god you stopped that."

Jake: "I grew up in a constant snowstorm so shut up."

Ruby: "We're in for one hell of a story."

Jay: "I'll start off the explanation. Delas isn't all there is in this world."

Ruby: "(puzzled) Huh?"

Jake: "Delas is only a piece of a larger world known as Reith."

Jade: "You lost me at piece."

Jay: "We're getting there. Anyways about 60 years ago a World War broke out between the six different lands."

Jake: "And an Original God that created it split the world and his being apart."

Jade: "Okay, okay then how are you here?"

Jake: "Rifts in between barriers."

Jay: "And we are here to save this place from someone from ending Reith."

Jake: "The Original God split his being into smaller pieces, we're related to two of them and if you have abilities, then so do you."

Jade shows a spark in her eye of both determination, and annoyance thanks to Jay.

Jade: "Then all 8 rulers are in on this!"

Jay: "(confidently) Do you care to explain?"

Jade: "Gladly. Those bastards sitting on their thrones in the 8 towns gave out an order 7 years ago to have us either captured or killed!"

Ruby: "And brainwashed the current guardians of sin to do so."

Jay looks at Jake.

Jay: "Guess we found our targets."

Jake: "Guess we can take one out here. (in head) Off to a great start."

Jake and Jay begin to walk out.

Jade: "Hold up! You two aren't doing this alone!"

Both: "Huh?"

Jade: "Those bastards have been after our asses for 7 years, they even have the next gen sins of Lust, Pride, Gluttony, and Wrath in captivity!"

Ruby: "Plus, a captain of sin is extremely powerful. You'll need all the help you can get."

Jake: "No changing minds? (in head) Looks like the descendants here are more cooperative, unlike Jay."

Then two seem to stare deep into their souls.

Jake: "Alright, alright. Let me try something real quick."

Jake places a thin, flexible layer of ice in his jacket.

Jake: "Guess it was so hot out there, my ice couldn't develop."

Jade: "Cool..... no pun intended."

Narrator: "Meanwhile in the palace in Gree, a soldier survived Jay's slaughtering and reported everything to Queen Salis."

Salis: "That boy with the form changing weapon and strange left arm sounds like Lucifer's kid. So Boris failed, even with demon blood in his veins. Greed!"

The guardian of Greed appears before Salis.

Greed: "(blankly) Yes?"

Salis: "Stand guard in front of the throne room. We will have your kids and two strange boys who do not bear the blood of sin."

Greed: "(blankly) Very well."

Narrator: "Back to our heroes."

Jay: "I don't need to hold back?"

Jake: "Exactly. If they are with my father, kill them."

Jay: "Thank god!"

Jade: "So the guy who put this world ending plan together is your father?"

Jake: "Yep."

Ruby: "Did anyone else realize we haven't fully introduced each other?"

Jake: "Heh, heh... my name is Jake Alexandris."

Jay: "Jay Kros."

Jade: "Well then, I'm Jade Laven and she is my twin sister Ruby."

Ruby giggles a little.

Jade: "What is so funny?"

Ruby: "Your names all start with 'Ja.'"

Jay: "Is this seriously going to be a running trend of this world saving adventure?"

Jake: "Probably."

Jade: "Let's just go to Gree Palace."

Shopkeeper: "Don't get yourselves killed."

Jade: "How many times do I have to tell you, relax."

Shopkeeper: "Just looking out for you."

Narrator: "The 4 stroll through town as Jake really questions how Jade can hold a hammer, ball and chain, axe, and broadsword at the same time."

Jake: "Seriously, how can your back handle that?"

Jade: "Growing up carrying 3 ton boulders on your back."

Jake: "I'm scared."

Jay: "Stop being a little chicken. Look, there is the palace over there."

They look straight in front of them.

Jake: "I 'm just saying, if someone can do that through sheer training and willpower, why a 3 ton?"

Jade: "You said you grew up in a constant snowstorm. What even is snow?"

Jake: "Basically a rainstorm except it is a lot colder and the water is on the verge of turning into ice."

Jake thinks for a moment.

Jake: "Now that doesn't sound scary."

Jade: "Fair enough."

Jay: "Can we just go in and kick the asses of anyone who stands in our way?!"

Jake: "Alright."
