Chapter 8: Sins of My Past

The 4 arrived at Lustaicious at dawn.

Jade: "(smiling) Alright, breakfast then our job. My stomach is killing me."

Jay: "You seem happy for once."

Jade: "After what happened a few days ago, I have felt happy that I finally got to smash your face through a wall!"

Jay: "(calmly) Well now that you are happy, I'll go for a walk around town, seeing if there is anything of interest."

Jake: "At least this tension between you two calmed down. I'll go to the market with Ruby for ingredients for breakfast. (in head) I just hope they don't argue again."

Ruby: "I'm okay with that."

Jade: "I'll just hang around here."

After about an hour, palace guards patrol around Jade.

Guard 1 : "We need to stay vigilant Samuel, you want your life correct?"

Guard 2: "I know but, I'm supposed to have the day off Michael."

Guard 1: "Calm down, once we capture those 4 nuisances we will never have another day of work."

Guard 2: "I can at least dream that..."

A strange woman come from behind them.

???: "What are you maggots doing?"

Guards 1&;2: "L-Lust s-sir!"

Lust: "Those 4 will be here any second so stop yapping and more tracking!"

Lust walks off to the palace.

Guard 2: "After 7 years ago she has always been harsher than King Brias."

Guard 1: "Same day as Alcionus's order."

Guard 2: "She would at least show mercy."

The guards continue patrol.

Jade: "(shocked) A-Alcionus gave it! Never heard that part!"

The others arrive.

Jade: "Listen to this!"

Jade explains everything she just heard.

Ruby: "Alcionus?!"

Jay: "I hope you don't mind explaining who is this King Alcionus."

Jade: "Guess that seems fair. He is the king of Agnonia."

Jade pauses.

Jade: "The one my father protects."

Jake: "So he is the one who you got that pretty cool counter ability right?"

Jade: "First off, it doesn't sound like you when you say cool. Second yes I took after my father, don't start sounding retarded."

Jake: "Sorry, but unlike you guys, I'm near useless without Heaven's Hope.... and I would take an ability like that."

Jay: "(calmly) Now we know the big guy here is Alcionus, can we just get this palace raid done? Sooner out of Delas the better."

Jake: "We may just be able to sneak throughout the palace and yes the sooner we save Delas, the sooner we can get to the 4th piece of Reith."

The 4 make it to the understaffed palace.

Jake: "We will be fine, just if we get seen, take out the guard quickly. Easy?"

Jay: "Fine."

The 4 stealthily move throughout the palace snapping only about 5 or 6 necks and arrive in the throne room with Lust.

Lust: "Can those dipshits do their god dam job?"

Jay: "Well 5 or 6 saw us, but I quickly snapped their necks like twigs."

Jade: "Sounds like Jay had snapped more than a few."

Jay: "Do you want me to count?"

Lust draws a simple sword.

Lust: "Looks like my powers will be effective with you."

Lust's eyes glow red.

Jake: "What? That it?"

Ruby: "Dammit what is the power of Lust?"

Jay on the other hand...

Jay: "Fuck!"

Lust: "At least one of you works."

Jade: "She uses sins against you! Jay run before..."

Jay is on the ground, crippled, with his hands clutching his head.

Jay: "(screaming) THE VOICES! MAKE THEM STOP!!!!"

Jake remembers about Jay's time as a bounty hunter.

Jake: "(in head) I can see why. I haven't known Jay for long, but if you're a bounty hunter, you are bound for a hefty kill list."

Lust: "This makes this hellhole manageable."

Lust strikes Ruby out of the way and proceeds to beat the ever living shit out of Jay, making deep gashes in Jay's back."

Jake: "Oh no you don't!"

Jake sends a bolt of lighning straight at Lust, but she dodges.

Lust: "Heard one of you fucks had a very interesting weapon, and it appears my abilities have jack shit on you."

Jake switches to staff form.

Jade: "How about you stop getting cocky, after all, I'm here."

Lust: "Huh?"

Jade uses her hammer and smacks Lust's jaw in two, and even sends her straight into a pillar.

Jay: "(panting) W-Wha?"

Jay passes out as Ruby begins to stand.

Ruby: "Let's just go and take care of-."

They open the doors to find the king has hung himself.

Jake: "I'll take care of Jay's blood loss, you guys free the next Lust from the cells."

As the twins bust down cell doors, Lust falls from the pillar.

Lust: "Aw, fu- m-."

Lust's jaw is completely shattered.

Jake: "I'll take care of that."

Jake fixes the jaw in an instant.

Lust: "How the fuck did I get there?"

Jake: "You pissed off Jade Laven?"

Lust: "Agony's kid?"

Jake: "You smashed her sister into the floor and used your abilities to cripple my friend here."

Jake: "And for reasons unknown to us, your king hung himself."

Lust: "Pussy."

Jake: "Listen, your heir is being freed. Jade, Ruby, my friend, and I are going to go beat the crap out of Alcionus, just point me in the direction of the nearest town that is not Wraith."

Lust: "Then Loth is your best bet."

Jade and Ruby arrive with an unconscious girl."

Jake: "We need to waste no time, Loth is our next stop."

Jade: "I'll handle Jay."

Ruby: "This is some shit we're getting into."

Lust: "Just quit your yapping, I'll just say I had a rampage and the king was sick of being alive."

Jade: "Let's just go."

The 4 rush out of Lustaicious.

Lust: "Seems those brats are fixing society's rules."
