Chapter 13: Bloodshed

Envious was only a three day walk, but it would be very painful for our heroes. In Agnonia palace...

King Alcionus: "What have you come here for?"

Messenger: "(stuttering) S-Sir, I have come with grave news."

King Alcionus: "Spit it out."

Messenger: "(stuttering) G-Greed, Wrath, Lust, S-Sloth, and Pride have been freed of your control."

King Alcionus: "Ayleaus and Kros are being quite a thorn in Lucifer's plan."

Messenger: "T-Those two aren't causing the most problematic."

King Alcionus: "Who then? Ayleaus and Kros have been a part of this from the beginning."

Messenger: "From descriptions it appears that the one causing the most damage is next gen sin of Agony, Jade Laven."

King Alcionus: "(laughing) Of course the one causing the most damage is the next gen of my domain."

Alcionus whistles.

King Alcionus: "Agony!"

Agony walks in from the outside room.

Agony: "(blankly) Yes master?"

King Alcionus: "You must prepare yourself for a battle. A ghost from the past will be here soon."

Agony leaves the room.

King Alcionus: "And let's slow them down..."

Back to the five. The thing that Alcionus sent out is sneaking up on their camp. They had just wrapped up their second day on foot and are ready to set off on their third.

Jade: "Almost to Envious."

Alyssa: "(drowsy) Thank god."

Ruby: "After Envious, there is Glutton, and we wrap this one with Agnonia!"

Jake: "Almost ready for the fourth piece."

Jay: "(sighing) I just hope for guards to put up an actual fight."

Jade: "(in head) They'll need more help."

They walk for a few minutes in complete silence.

Jade: "I'll go with you guys."

Jay: "Huh?"

Jade: "I'm saying once we save Delas, I'll go with you guys."

Jay: "You think you're up to that?"

Jake: "I say that the more people we know and can work with, the better of a chance we have at saving Reith."

A gigantic Impurity makes a deep gash in Jake's back unnoticed until now.

Jay: "Shit!"

Jake: "(in head) How did we not notice sooner."

Jake passes out.

???: "I'll be taking Ayleaus with me."

Jade: "That voice... Alcionus!"

King Alcionus: "I'd prefer if you call me by my full title, King Alcionus."

Jade: "You're the bastard who is working with Lucifer!"

King Alcionus: "Why wouldn't I? He shared his demonic blood with me. He gave me a taste of true power and was given the bonus ability of mind control. Why wouldn't I help fix this imperfect world."

The Impurity looks at Ruby.

King Alcionus: "And the last thing he needs is the blood of the sins of Agony and Greed!"

The beast tries to take down Ruby.

Jade: "No you're not!"

Jade takes the blow.

King Alcionus: "No matter, I need you two anyway."

The Impurity looks at Jay.

King Alcionus: "Two issues down, one to go."

The Impurity attacks Jay, but misses.

Jay: "How about you accept that you and your allies will fall like Boris, Nero, and eventually you!"

King Alcionus: "I will fulfill Lucifer's wish for a perfect world!"

Ruby: "This world exists for a reason, WE exist for a reason and people like you, this Lucifer, and your other friends are not achieving your goal."

Alyssa: "(drowsy) What she said."

Jay uses telekinesis to slice and dice the Impurities limbs.

King Alcionus: "I heard that the God of the Mind had telekinetic capabilities."

Ruby dissolves into the shadows and lands a massive punch, sending the beast to the ground.

King Alcionus: "Interesting..."

Alyssa: "(drowsy) Come get me."

King Alcionus: "Looks like one of you accepts your grave."

The Impurity tries to smash Alyssa into the ground, but Alyssa dodges every single punch and does even more slicing and dicing to the arms.

King Alcionus: "Looks like a trap."

Jay: "You bet this was."

Jay uses hand to hand combat to knock the Impurity into the ground, uses his nunchucks to smash the beast's face, uses telekinesis to finish sending deep cuts all over the rest of the body, and wrapping up with an explosive bullet to the head.

King Alcionus: "I may not have Ayleaus and one of the twins, but I have given Agony more than enough time to prepare."

The Impurity fades.

Jay: "Ruby, you handle Jade, I'll take care of Jake."

Ruby uses some extra cloth in their supplies to patch up Jade's arm.

Ruby: "We have never been prepared for a situation where Jake is out cold."

Jay grabs a larger piece to help Jake.

Jay: "Let's get to Envious, the cloth won't hold back the blood."

Alyssa looks in the distance.

Alyssa: "I can see it from here."

The three book it with Jade and Jake's lives in their hands.

Jay: "Anyone here a doctor?!"

A girl walks up.

Girl: "Come with me."

Jay: "Thanks."
