Between 3: Sins of a King

Chapter 15: Number Seven

With Jade's determination, our six heroes arrived in Glutt five days later.

Sam: "Looks like we made it."

Jake collapses onto the ground.

Jake: "(breathing uncontrollably) Haven't moved like that. (pauses) Ever."

Jay: "Can you please shut up? I know you need a break to help your breathing."

Jade picks up Jake.

Jade: "Let's go find a place to sit."

Alyssa: "(yawning) When we find someplace to sit I'll take a nap."

The six stroll throughout town, seeing a lot of 300 pound people.

Jay: "Gluttony basically means fatass right?"

Jade: "The sooner we take care of Gluttony, the sooner we can take care of Alcionus."

The six find a nice place to sit by the inn, with Alyssa immediately falling asleep.

Ruby: "Jade, thanks for letting us take a break."

Jade: "Thanks?"

Ruby: "Well, you don't usually take a break. You tend to constantly want to fight or get a step closer to Alcionus, but here, you're letting us catch a breather and not even tapping your foot."

Jade: "(blushes) Well, if we didn't have this break we would probably kill ourselves."

Sam: "She also pointed out that you aren't tapping your foot."

Jay: "Looks like someone finally learned how to lighten up."

Jade: "Well, after these two take care of their issues, we're storming the palace for the seventh time."

An hour passes.

Jake: "I should be fine. (in head) I hope."

Alyssa: "(yawning) Nap time over?"

Jade: "Let's get going!"

The six walk up to the palace and Jade slices off the heads of the two fat guards with her broadsword.

Ruby: "Fuck."

The six traverse through the palace, outrunning any and all fatasses.

Guard: "(sweating) Stop!"

Jay: "How about you give up?"

Jay walks up to the guard and uses his nunchucks to fracture the guards skull.

Jade: "Stop wasting time."

The six continue to the outside of the throne room to find Gluttony eating a boulder.

Gluttony: "(mouth full) I'm eating."

Jay: "How the fuck can he eat pure rock?"

Ruby: "Gluttony's ability allows him to eat anything and temporarily obtain properties of what he ate."

Gluttony finishes his... boulder, his skin appears to harden.

Gluttony: "(burping) Tasty."

Jade: "All you need to do is hit harder!"

Jade uses her broadsword to attempt to stab Gluttony.

Gluttony: "Oh yeah, you brats are here."

Gluttony repels the blade and throws Jade into a wall.

Jade: "The abilities don't last very long."

Jake sends a large chunk of ice at Gluttony.

Gluttony: "(drooling) Food..."

Gluttony eats the ice in one bite.

Jake: "(switching to bow form) Watch."

Jake sends a bolt of lightning at Gluttony, shocking Gluttony unconscious.

Sam: "I'm jealous that you get something like that."

Jay and Jade take care of the king and freeing next gen Gluttony.

Jade: "Move now."

Ruby: "Alright."

Alyssa was asleep the whole time.

Sam: "I got her."

The six bolt it.

Jake: "I'll handle cooking tonight."

Jay: "It's kinda your job."

The six quickly get away from Glutt and are moving on to their final stop, Agnonia.
