Chapter 17: Agnonia

The six step into Agnonia to find guards around every corner.

Jade: "(confidently) I can take anyone who comes for me."

Ruby grabs Jade's shoulder.

Ruby: "We can't be reckless now. We're almost at the end."

Sam: "Let's try to be casual until we reach the palace."

As our heroes walk up to the palace, a young man walks up to them.

Young Man: "You're the Laven twins. Has the time come to be freed from Alcionus?"

Jade: "Just keep it down, after this we would have saved all of Delas from the son of a bitch."

Young Man: "(relieved) Thank you."

As the young man walks away, there is a deeper discussion going on in the throne room.

Messenger: "My lord, the children have arrived in Agnonia."

King Alcionus: "Very excellent. Agony! Prepare for battle!"

Agony: "Yes sir."

Agony leaves the room.

King Alcionus: "You may return to your post."

Messenger: "Thank you."

The messenger bolts out of the room.

King Alcionus: "Soon, I'll have the blood Lucifer requires for our plan and to have the boy be brought to him as promised."

A rift opens behind Alcionus and a man with two black wings steps through.

King Alcionus: "Lucifer!"

Lucifer: "How have your attempts been in obtaining the special sin blood?"

King Alcionus: "The two with the blood are currently here in Agnonia... along with Ayleaus."

Lucifer: "(smirks) Good. This mixed sin blood will help me achieve the power to break the barriers and end this stain of a world."

Lucifer pulls out an empty syringe.

Lucifer: "Let them come to us."

King Alcionus: "As you wish."

Alcionus calls off all guards to have a clear way to the throne room. As the six were just coming up to the palace.

Jay: "I don't know if this is a good sign or a bad sign."

Sam: "Probably bad."

The six cautiously walk through the palace a in a preset path.

Jake: "(in head) We're fucked aren't we?"

They come up to just before the throne room, where Agony awaits.

Jade: "Dad!"

Agony: "Must capture Ayleaus."

Alcionus sneaks behind Ruby and uses the syringe to take some her blood.

King Alcionus: "Too easy."

Jake: "(draws sword) I knew that something fishy was going on!"

Alcionus walks up to his throne to give the syringe to Lucifer.

Lucifer: "Wonderful."

Jake: "You're-"

Lucifer injects the blood into his body.

Jake: "(pissed) Lucifer!"

Lucifer looks at Jake's arm.

Lucifer: "Is that any way to talk to your father?"

Jake: "(pissed) You lost your chance to be a father the moment you abandoned me!"

Lucifer opens a rift.

Lucifer: "I'd love to chat, but my accomplice in Drakos needs me for a bit as well. I got what I came for."

Lucifer steps through the rift as it closes.

King Alcionus: "Now for the fun part."

Agony prepares for battle.

King Alcionus: "To watch you all suffer. I don't even have to get my suit dirty."

Jade: "(pissed) You're gonna regret those words in a few minutes!"
