Marik's POV
It hasn't been that long, has it? I've been feeling really weird since Atem and Lillyan left. They'll be back soon, I'm sure...... I've had this nagging headache ever since after the gate closed. Wait, no..... What if he's back? Now that they're gone? If so, Lillyan's going to HATE me when I tell her I can never leave her side.... No... no... NO!
Heh heh heh.. Hahahahaha! I've finally returned to this world! Now that I'm rid of that "other" Marik, there's only one thing I care to do. Destroy! Destroy everyone and everything! Then, the Pharaoh will have no choice but to surrender to Ra! "Go, my Rare Hunters! Plunge these fools into darkness! Arkana, I hope you prove yourself useful to me..."
"O-of course, Master Marik!" Arkana stuttered. "You can count on me!"
"The gospel of dismay begins." I mewed. "Who has the skills to reach me? How many who are "born again" will I personally feed to the darkness?" Mwahahahahaha!
Third-person POV
Joey wandered around the city, not exactly sure how Marik's plan would work out. A man in a dark purple cloak walked up to him. "Um... Hello?" Joey greeted, not knowing what was going on. The man only stood staring. A glowing golden eye appeared where the man's cloak covered his face.
"Heh heh heh... Let's see if you can defeat this man. There's no point in returning his memories of his faith if you can't." the man eventually spoke. His Duel Disk lit up and the plates sprung into place. The eye glowed brighter and Joey's Duel Disk did the same. Their Duel began.
After Joey defeated the man, he began to act strange again. The eye appeared where it had before.
Joey's POV
"Heh heh heh... Seems you're not entirely without sanity." The guy said. "But this Rare Hunter is the weakest that's worked for me yet. My other brainwashed victims are much more formidable."
"Without sanity? Brainwashed victims? Whatter ya talkin' about?" I asked.
"Oops, I forgot to introduce myself. Because you're not speaking to whom you see before you."
"I figured. So, who are you?"
"Seeing as you are a member of the Resistance, I'm sure you've heard of me, Joseph Wheeler. I am..... the Winged Dragon of Ra!"
What?! It can't be!
"If you want to face me in the flesh, you must defeat Yami Marik. If we do meet, I'm sure to be happy again. But I can't say the same for you. For after I defeat you, the Pharaoh will be mine! Mwahahahahaha!"
I turned tail as fast as I could. No way I'm acting alone! I've gotta find Ishizu. ..... Either I'm lucky or she lives in this museum. "Joey? What is it?" I heard her say.
"I saw him..." I panted. "Get the others....."
