After explaining the situation to our parents, the three of us agreed that Atem could stay with us while he was "recovering", so to speak. Or at least, until I get him back in the game, literally. Foxdung, that's right! I've still gotta explain that to him! Wish me luck up there, Zion...
I waited a little while until Atem got settled in, and then proceeded to try to explain everything. Except there was one problem.
It was the middle of the night...
And we were alone in his bedroom...
"Listen, I'll get strait to the point. About... where you're from..." I began, showing him the screen of my phone.
"Oh, I was well aware." he replied. "About the fangirls, too. I was sure you would have made your move sooner." I found myself pinned against the closed door as he reached around me to lock it. Unfortunately for him, the bedroom doors didn't lock. "No locks? Clever girl, what do you plan to do with me instead?" he said, leaning back onto the bed in a suggestive pose.
I turned away. "Nice try, Pharaoh."
His expression went from lust to confusion. "E-excuse me?"
"You heard me, perseverance is futile!"
"I don't get it. How are you able to resist me? Other girls would die for a chance to 'duel' me."
Must I say it again? I remained with my back turned to him. "Well, I'm not like other girls, as cliche as that sounds. It is wrong for a man to lust after a woman, and vise versa. Besides, I'm not exactly into the "manly masculine reno" type."
I heard a loud groan from behind me. I literally broke his heart, didn't I? I thought. No, I wouldn't have heard a sound. I turned around to see Atem clutching his head, and he collapsed into my arms for the second time that day. I helped him back into his bed, and then went back to bed in the safety of my own room.
