Dixie's POV:

I was waiting for Jacob and Nessie outside their house as the sun was beginning to sink in the sky. I had chosen an outfit similar to what I wore last night, but in red this time. I was becoming more and more nervous and agitated about them going with me tonight. What if something goes wrong like last night, what if Jake still doesn't want me anywhere near his family, what if-

"If you keep thinking about everything that could go wrong you'll drive yourself mad you know." (Jasper)

"Jasper.....how'd you know?" (D)

"Edward told me, thought I could help some." (Jas)

I feel a wave of calm rush over me and I smile in agreement that he can definitely help. I smile in thanks at him before pushing my shades back up my nose and looking back towards the woods. He leans up against the railing beside me before he turns to look at me with a small smile of his own.

"You know, I was a general in the Civil War, but on the Confederate side." (Jas)

"I thought you might have been, after knowing about the Angel of Vengeance. When were you born?" (D)

"1844, appears I'm older than you by a few years." (Jas)

"I'm glad, it's not every day I meet someone older than me. It's refreshing, as well as the calm you keep sending me. Thank you." (D)

"Not a problem at all." (Jasper)

"Does Alice dislike me for what I am, or for her lack of vision on me?" (D)

"My lack of vision of you. It's not personal I just don't like having to try and foresee the future with so many black spots. I had just gotten use to seeing around Jacob and Nessie." (Alice)

I had turned toward the small petite vampire as soon as she was by my side. I wasn't frightened or worried, but I believe it's because of Jasper's presence. I don't really fear death, or being physically harmed, in fact there are times where I think death would be a blessing in disguise. Rather I fear their rejection to my presence.

"I'm sorry." (D)

"Don't be, I'm all but used to it by now I suppose. When will you all be leaving for Seattle?" (A)

"Whenever Jacob and Renesmee get back." (D)

"Well, if you're not busy this weekend would you like to go back to Seattle and do some shopping with Rose, Nessie, and me? Rose told me what you were wearing last night, and based on what you're wearing now, I know you have great taste in clothes." (A)

"Really? You want me to join you three on a shopping trip?" (D)

"Of course!" (A)

"Ok, that sounds like fun actually." (D)

I see her smile at me again and then turn her attention to the woods, watching the same as I was before Jasper came out to stand with me. I turn my attention back to the woods as well as the three of us stand in a peaceful and calm silence. I heard Esme ask Carlisle to go upstairs and speak with her for a moment, but I decide I don't want to listen anymore. I dread hearing bad news for me.

I see them approaching in the distance, holding hands and laughing with one another and I feel the small familiar twinge in my heart before I force it away. I see Jasper give me an odd look before he takes Alice's hand. They wish me a good night and that they'll see me later before going back into the house. I hear Alice tell him that she'll need new nail polish in the next few days for her and Rose, and I smile a bit as he asks her why not use some she already has.

Seems like all guys are the same whether human or vampire, they simply don't understand the importance of fashion. I smile some and make a mental note of perhaps looking for some polish while in Seattle, before walking up to my car. We're taking my Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat that I got a year or two ago to Seattle tonight. It can go 150 easily, so it won't take us long to get there. I climb in and crank it, smiling some as it roars to life. Rose had come out to see it when I first got here and she was impressed, but she hasn't even seen my babies yet. This and the corvette are just the 'everyday' cars. I can't wait until she can come over and see the garage.

I see Nessie suddenly sprint to the passenger side and cheer a bit, while sticking her tongue out at Jacob. I smile with her as she climbs in and then Jacob gets into the backseat pouting some, but I suspect he let her win really. I suppose they were racing for shotgun. Though I can't help but understand him sulking some for real, even though there is plenty of room in the backseat, for it's odd to see his massive form in the backseat.

"Ready?" (D)

"Of course!" (R)

"Yeah sure." (J)

I smile some as I pull out of the driveway, hitting 150 miles an hour in moments as we rush down the road to Seattle. It won't take long to get there, not long at all, and it's not like I'm worried about getting a ticket. I look back and see Jacob alternating between looking softly at Nessie and then at me with a calculated look. I look away quickly and focus on the road instead.

"Dixie.....do you really have no idea why you chose Forks?" (R)

"I have a faint idea, but it sounds and seems foolish." (D)

"What is it?" (J)

"I've been having the weirdest dream for the last few years. I've been playing with and chasing a wolf around in one of the clearings in the forest. He's huge, not as big as you Jacob but close, with sandy looking fur and a lanky form. He looks like a Mexican wolf really, just larger. I never saw the town Forks in the dream or anything, I just felt like he was here." (D)

"So you crossed the country based on a dream wolf?" (J)

"I said it seemed foolish of me didn't I? It was because of that though I was so surprised by you. You were like seeing my dream in real life, simply with a different fur color." (D)

"Does the wolf look like this?" (R)

Renesmee pulls my attention away from the road as she shows me a picture of a wolf on her phone. It's not just a wolf though, it's my dream wolf's exact image. I freeze for a moment, then force my attention back onto the road before I try to acknowledge them but the words I was thinking aren't the ones that come out.

"Where did you get that?" (D)

"So it is him?!?" (R)

I can't answer her, so I just nod. Things become oddly still and quiet for a moment. I look back in the mirror to see Renesmee holding Jacob's hand and I realize she must be telling him something private. Jacob's eyes seem to soften some as he nods back at her, after she let go. He looks up at me and I see a softness that wasn't there earlier. I go to ask her again where she got the picture of the wolf, but I'm interrupted in my thoughts and aims as Jacob speaks to me.

"So Dixie, where are we going to park when we get there?" (Jacob)
