I was going to do this for treebros, but I decided it'd be cooler to make it kleinsen instead. Enjoy! :3
They'd been driving the long country road for about 20 minutes now when Jared finally decided to ask where the hell they were going. As expected, Evan hid the truth of where he was taking the other boy, insisting that it was a surprise and that surprises aren't any fun if you tell the person what the surprise is. The two boys had got incredibly close during the past two weeks, the Connor Project already behind them. The thought of the elaborate lie was always on the back of the two's minds, however. Evan drove, while Jared sat in the passenger seat, much to his disliking, as Jared normally drove the two boys places and enjoyed driving, even. Plus, it was his car, and he was secretly afraid Evan would drive it into a tree or something. Evan knew the way to where they were going, a rather quiet and elusive spot in the orchard he had been to only once. It was a clearing in the everlasting trees with some dandelions about here and there. He smiled a small smile at Jared, who looked enraged to not know where they were going.
"Time will tell." He added, parking a couple blocks away from the orchard to not raise suspicion with authorities. The orchard was, of course, closed. There wasn't enough money to reopen it, after all. A no trespassing sign was placed on the fence of the foreclosed property. The two boys got out of the car. Evan mentioned they had to walk as he grabbed a backpack he had brought.
"You didn't tell me we were exercising," Jared grumbled. Evan laughed.
"It's not far. Trust me." Said he, grabbing Jared's hand. Jared's mood lightened up at the touch of Evan's hand intertwined with his. They walked for a couple of minutes before Evan stopped at their destination. Jared was confused now, his eyebrows stitching together and his eyes landing on Evan in puzzlement. Evan let go of his hand, placing his hands on the fence, and hoisting himself up the metal gate quickly. At the top of the other side, he held out his hand and prompted Jared to climb up as well. Jared was skeptical at first, but Evan told him he had nothing to worry about. He trusted the other boy, climbing the fence. Grabbing Jared's hand once more, Evan lead him to the quiet spot, which took some time to find once again. When he found the spot, he told Jared to sit on a fallen log. Jared sat unwillingly.
"Do you mind to tell me why we're here?" Jared asked, not exactly liking nature–or the outside.
"Give me a second! I need to grab my ukulele." Evan laughed as he grabbed the small instrument from his backpack.
"Are you, like, serenading me?" Jared asked in disbelief.
"Why, yes, I guess I am." Evan grinned. He checked that the strings were in tune before getting the first chord in place. And then, he sang.
I have a question
It might seem strange
How are your lungs?
Are they in pain? The song was Would You Be So Kind, a rather playful and upbeat song by Dodie Clark. The song was perfect for the moment, and perfect to confess his developed feelings for Jared. Song was really the only way he could find confidence in telling anyone anything. And here he was, telling his crush that he was his crush. The song went on for a couple more minutes before Evan finished. Jared thought Evan's notes were angelic. The brown-haired boy had also caught feelings for the boy, and the song, though being about unrequited love, was in fact perfect. At the end, Jared got up from the log, embracing Evan in a hug which caused the boy to nearly drop his ukulele on the leaf carpeted forest floor. Both of their hearts were beating at the speed of a lightning bolt flashing across the sky. They both felt so lovestruck, so joyous, so lively. Nothing could have beat that moment in the shaded forest.
Except for when Jared crashed his lips into the other boys. The kiss tingled their lips. It was desperate but blissful. And, if even possible, their hearts raced faster. Their cheeks turned beet red when Jared pulled away. Everything was now perfect. Everything felt so incredibly real in that moment.
And then, Jared woke up.
Might add onto this? What do you think? Should I?
