"So-uh-my-my therapist, actually-told me to find a way to forget the things I wish to forget. So, well, I thought me, a-and you could write what we wish we could forget on a piece of paper, and throw that piece of paper into the fire." Evan smiled at Jared, who smelled strongly of bug spray. It was their first night of camping, and they were currently having a campfire- after several safety precautions were done to make sure no other trees were harmed.

"I'm not sure how that's going to make me forget things, but anything for you, Ev." Jared beamed.

"Y-you know, I expected that." Evan chuckled. Jared gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, earning what he wanted- Evan blushing.

"You're adorable." Jared cooed. Evan leaned down next to his chair, grabbing the few sheets of paper he had brought just for this reason. He also grabbed two pencils. Handing some paper and a pencil to Jared, he started writing his first thing to forget.

My suicide attempt.

The thought of it made him tear up slightly. Jared saw Evan's eyes water up through the corner of his eyes, looking over at the boy, who was now folding up the piece of paper.

"Ev, are you okay...?" Jared placed his hand on top of the other boy's free hand. Evan placed the piece of folded up paper into the fire, looking back at Jared with watery eyes.

"I am now." Evan smiled.

"Good." Jared smiled back.

"What have you written?" Evan pointed at Jared's small piece that he'd ripped to write on.

"Nothing," Jared started, "Because when I'm here with you, everything else around me is forgotten. Except you."

Evan leaned close to Jared, touching their foreheads together and looking Jared in the eyes. A smile played on his lips, which was interrupted by Jared bringing his lips to Evan's.

The crickets played a symphony around them.

And in that moment, everything around them was forgotten.

AHHHHH I love this one so much. Jared isn't really jokey in this one but I have no regrets because the nice and flirty Jared is cool right? Yep totally. Anywho, I enjoyed writing this, I hope you enjoyed reading it!
