Evan knew for certain: every time you're brought up, you're brought right back down. You never know when you are, but you are.
Every person that Evan loved seemed to slip away from him.
His father left him and his mother for another family,
his mother left him for her job,
and though, most of the time, people aren't gone physically,
they're gone mentally.
The same thing happened with Jared.
But this time, it was Evan's fault. He'd ignored him, betrayed him, used him.
But now, it was too late. Jared gave Evan dirty looks in the hall, never talked to him, and did not ever want to talk to him again.
All because of Evan.
Evan was so, so sorry for hurting the one he loved most, but it was all said and done.
