"So my client is here to discuss the items and money of yours and hers" my lawyer said as we sat across from Reggie and his lawyer. I stared at Reggie and he stared back but he wore a soft face the whole time we've been sitting here. I don't know if this was the reason for that but if it is I didn't expect him to care so much. "She can have it" he said as he put his hands together. I arched my eyebrow and sat up. "All of it is what you're saying" my lawyer said. "All of it" he replied back. "What" I asked. "Keep it Mariah. I ont want it ma it's yours" he said. I stared at him and he stood up. He gave me one last look and then he shook his lawyers hand and walked out of the room. "I'll come by tomorrow and we can discuss this" I said to my lawyer and he nodded. I stood up and grabbed my purse and I rushed out of the room. "Reggie" I called after him as I tried to catch up to him. He stopped and looked at me and I made it up to him. "Why" I asked. "Why what" he asked. "Why are you giving me everything." I asked. "After all the shit I put you through. You deserve it. Just keep it ma don't even sweat it. I vowed that's What's mine is yours ight. And even if I ain't stick wit some of the vows I still mean that one"he said. "I just don't want this to back fire. I don't want you to come around like years later trying to kill me" I said and he laughed. "You know I ain't like that" he said and I smirked and nodded. I felt myself get emotional because I was gonna miss him even though we've been through all that we've been through. I really did fall in love with him. He was the person I decided to take that big step with. I chose him over Seaton... I put my hand out so he could shake it and he pulled me into a hug instead. "I'm gone miss you" he said. "I'll miss you" I said through tears and he laughed. "I knew they was comin" he said and I laughed as I held onto him. He kissed the side of my head and I let him go. I rubbed the side of his face and I stared into his light green eyes one last time. "You know" he said as he grabbed my hand and kissed it. "None of these females could ever compare to you" he said. "Ever. Whoever get you gone be lucky. Hopefully they treat you better than I did. I was fuckin with a winner. Real shit I was. I was Blind to it though. And I love you and I'm sorry for Makin you have to question that." he said in a soft voice. "Good luck wit everything you got goin on ma and will have goin on" He said. I nodded. "You too" I said. He pecked my lips and I smirked at him. "Ima be by to get my stuff" he said and I nodded and I watched him walk away. He stopped and turned around. "Oh yeah wait a second babygirl" he said. "Yes" I said. "Whenever you make it home. Look under the bed. I left somethin for you" he said. I nodded and he smirked and walked away. I headed out a little while after and I got a phone call, it was from my brother. And my brother barely ever calls me so I knew it was something serious. "Hello" I said. "Riah" he yelled. "What" I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows. "He's gone" he said. "What, who's gone" I asked in a worried tone. "It's dad. He's gone" he said. I pressed my brakes and I heard cars beeping behind me. "What" I asked. "No he's not I just talked to dad lastnight" I said. "He's gone" he said for the last time. I hung up and the cars continued to beep. The light was red now but I pushed the car through the lights almost hitting every car in sight. I sped home and when I made it there reggie's car was in the driveway. I forgot he said he was picking his clothes up. I got out the car and ran up to the house and I opened the door, not even closing it behind me. "Wassup Mariah" Lloyd said. "Where's Reggie" I asked. "He upstairs" he said. "Reggie" I said through tears. He turned and looked at me and I continued to cry. "You Ight" he asked and I ran up the stairs. With tears falling from my eyes I went into the room and he was getting all of his clothes out of the closet and drawers. He looked at me and I stood there crying. He stopped and he looked at me. "What's wrong" he asked. "My dad is dead Reggie" I cried. "I don't know how it happened. I was just talking to him lastnight and he seemed okay" I said through tears. He walked over to me and pulled me into a hug and I hugged him Back as I continued to cry. "Damn I'm sorry" he said. Reggie and my dad were close. My dad had Reggie doing things he's never done before, things like golfing, going to baseball games. My dad was happy I was finally married. "You gone go there" he asked. "I have to" I said. "Alone" he asked. "I have nobody to go with me" I said. "I got a lot of shit goin on right now. but if you need me to go wit you I will. He was my guy" he said. "You don't have to" I said. "I want to. Pack up we can go now" he said. I stared at him and nodded. "Thank you" I said. He nodded and let me go. We both packed up and headed out. I called seaton at least 15 times, even called Jacari but neither one answered their phone. I needed him the most right now. I really did and he wasn't answering. Guess im not so important
