After a long working day, all I wanted was a great meal. I was not employed, but my dad had given me a lot to do that day. After eating, I was so tired that I just wanted to go to bed. As I rested on my cozy bed, my phone buzzed with a new message on ChitChat.

I had friends and girlfriends, but they usually called or messaged me directly. I didn't chat with them on ChitChat, so I was curious to see who had messaged me at that hour. I picked up my phone and opened the message. It wasn't a conversation, just a string of laughing emojis from a girl named Areena.

"Areena!" I mumbled, recalling the day I was sitting alone in the park, waiting for my dramatic girlfriend. She's always late and loves to throw tantrums, but I never really cared. I thought, "All girls are like this, anyway."

To pass the time, I opened ChitChat and started searching for a new girl. I enjoy this game: find a new girl, make her my girlfriend, date her for a while, and then move on to the next one. I don't believe in love. If love existed, my mother and father would still be together. My mother never cared for me or my dad, despite how much he loved her. All she wanted was money.

I've grown to see everything as a game. To win, you have to play smart. That day, a girl named Areena caught my attention. I never send friend requests first, so I sent her a funny joke instead. That was three months ago, and now she finally replied.

I responded to her, and our conversation began. I found Areena really interesting. She has her own aspects about life.

Areena never asked me about my wealth or how rich I am like other girls, who often start conversations with questions about money. She didn't pay any attention to my surname either; she just called me Mr. Abid. When I mentioned the Arabic course my dad forced me to take, she responded beautifully and encouraged me:

"Masha Allah, that's really nice. Very few people of our religion are doing something in respect of Islam. I really appreciate that."

I loved how she communicated. It seemed like she paid attention to every word she wrote.

Areena is in college now. I don't understand how girls find studies so interesting. I don't like studying at all, but I have to, or my dad will be furious. Areena said she's a foodie like me and loves listening to music and going on long drives. She finds bikes interesting, which I really like. Surprisingly, she doesn't enjoy shopping.

Altogether, she is different-very different-from others. I can't stop thinking about her. With a clink, a new message arrived, obviously from her:

As we talked through the whole night, the time for the morning prayer arrived.

"It was nice talking to you, Mr. Abid. Talk to you later, Allah Hafiz."

With that, she ended the conversation.

After reading her message, I glanced around, and she was right. I couldn't believe it myself-I, Abid Abdullah, son of Zain Abdullah, the richest businessman, had spent the entire night talking to a girl.

It was unprecedented for me.

I bid her goodbye, placed my phone beside me, and waited for sleep. But sleep eluded me. My mind was consumed with thoughts of her... Areena!

"How can a girl be so simple?" This question persisted in my mind.

Without overthinking, I impulsively typed:

"I really enjoyed talking with you. I know it's early, but I like you. I'm eagerly looking forward to tonight so we can talk again. Take care, dear."

I sent the message, feeling somewhat out of my senses. What had I just done?

Now, she might see me like other boys. All I wanted was to convey that I wanted to talk to her again tonight. I waited anxiously for a response, but none came. Perhaps she had fallen asleep or was upset by my sudden proposal. Honestly, I didn't know, and I was incredibly curious!

"If you don't wake up in the next 2 minutes, then I'm forced to take action against you." I heard the words from a familiar voice, but I didn't want to open my eyes. So, I grabbed my blanket closer and kept my eyes shut.

Suddenly, a massive waterfall of water hit my face, and I jumped out of bed in shock. After a moment, I managed to focus on my surroundings, and the first thing I saw was my beautiful friend Sara's smiling face.

I looked at her and exclaimed, "What the hell did you just do?"

She laughed and replied, "I did that to wake you up from your darling sleep. We're already late for our first class. I'm going downstairs. Just get ready in 5 minutes. We need to leave now to make it to our further classes."

She was right. There was no point in arguing. It was all my fault. If I hadn't stayed up talking to that guy all night, I wouldn't be late.

After attending all our classes, Sara and I headed to our favorite restaurant for some food. The entire day passed by without giving me a single minute to think or rest. Later, my mom asked me to help her shop because my cousin's brother's wedding was just a month away. I was thrilled!

That night, I fell asleep without checking my chatbook. I wanted Mr. Abid to know that I'm not like his other girls, and I was tired too.
