# Abid's POV
# Date - November 04, 2022---
I had been searching for her for the last ten minutes, but she was nowhere in sight. Maybe she had gone in the opposite direction.
"Oh God! Where the hell could she be?"
I had to check the other way. Heading back to the car, I saw the mechanic still working.
"I'm going to check in that direction. Call me if she comes back here," I told him, already given him my number in case Areena returned.
"Yes, sir," he replied.
I was still unsure whether she had taken drugs or not. The thought gnawed at me. After she left me, I couldn't bear the pain, so I started taking drugs on my friend John's advice. I knew it wasn't a good move. Drugs had nearly destroyed me. When Dad found out, he was furious and I promised both him and myself that I would never touch that stuff again.
Last week, when I was dropping John at his club.

"You have to try this, Abid. This is the latest stuff, really strong. You'll love it. Just give it a go," John said, taking out a packet of white powder.
"No, bro. I don't do drugs anymore. I quit years ago," I told him firmly. His blue eyes widened in shock.
"Don't be ridiculous, bro. It won't affect anything. I told you already, just try it. You'll feel awesome, like you're in jannat. You'll forget all your worries."
"No, John. I'm serious. I don't take drugs," I repeated.
"Okay, if you say so. But I'll leave this with you, just in case you change your mind," he said with a chuckle, setting the packet down.
"No way. I promised Dad, and I'm never going to break that promise," I said, resolute.
John shrugged and gave me a look that suggested he thought I was being overly dramatic.

As I searched for her for the last ten minutes, my desperation grew with each passing moment. I had to find her; she meant too much to me. Quickening my pace, I prayed to see her around the next corner.
Suddenly, the rain started, adding to my panic. Where had she gone?
After walking almost half a kilometer, I spotted a tea shop and rushed over to ask the shopkeeper if he'd seen a girl in a black salwar kameez. Before he could reply, I heard her voice.
"That's cheating. I won't play."
Turning, I saw her, completely drenched from the rain, her dress clinging to her body, accentuating her curves.
Damn! What am I even thinking?
She was surrounded by 5-6 children, seemingly engrossed in some game. And she was behaving just like them. Well, she always did act like a child, but this time, it was clearly the effects of drugs. Dammit!
"Okay, okay, Di. Don't go, we won't do it again," one of the children said.
"Pinky promise," she replied, flashing a smile so innocent it made my heart flutter. Focus, Abid!
