"Are you kidding me, Lydia?" I raise an annoyed brow.

"Yeah." She nods, not understanding. "She was saying something about Hunter being back and the group becoming one again."

"And what do you say about that?" I ask in a flat tone.

"I don't know," she shrugs as she takes a bite of her pepperoni pizza. "Of course I want to be apart of the group again. I want it to be whole again."

"Lydia." I roll my eyes.

"What? I mean, can you blame me?"

"No I guess not." I bite down on my bottom lip.

My eyes travel around the cafeteria, idiotically in search for the tall boy with dark hair. They stop on him. Him and his stupid face.

And of course he's sitting at Blake's table. I mean, where else would he sit? They were best friends and they've probably kept touch while he was gone. I guess I wasn't as close to him as much as Blake was...

"Bella?"

I snap my head towards her, eyes wide. "What?"

"I asked you how you feel about it."

"Lydia, Vanessa hasn't talked to us since junior year. The group drifted apart because of him-"

"We didn't." She interrupts with a small smile. "We're still together."

I sigh, a small smile creeping onto my lips. "Yeah, I know. And I'm glad that we are. But anyways, the group fell apart because of his departure and that's fucking stupid. I don't ever want to be friends with any of them again because the only reason they're talking to us is because he's back."

"Is that such a bad thing?"

"Yes, Lydia. It is." I nod eagerly.

"I don't think it is." She rolls her eyes and takes another bite.

"Then why don't you go sit with them, then?" I nod towards Blake's group. She looks over and the crease in her forehead deepens. "Bet they'd love for you to join them. Since they've already 'found each other'." I put my hand over my heart and sigh dramatically.

She giggles loudly while smiling at me. I shake my head at her and gaze down at my book. Her smile fades quickly when she looks back at them. "They look as if Hunter never even left. That they never stopped being friends."

"They probably kept in touch, Lydia."

"But he didn't keep in touch with you." Her statement makes me snap head up from my book. "If anyone was close to Hunter it was you. You know that-"

"Lydia!" I shout. "Can we talk about anything other than Hunter Stone? I'm so fucking sick of hearing his stupid name."

"Okay, okay. Chill." She waves her hands at me.

I roll my eyes at her and look back down at my book. Lydia keeps quiet for the rest of lunch. The end of lunch bell rings and we walk to AP calculus.

We sit down in the conjoined seats together at the front of the room. I take out my journal and pen, ready to take notes.

Lydia starts talking to the girl next to her, leaving me alone. Bitch.

My eyes wander around the room and stop at the door. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?
