I unlock the front door as I carry a large bag of food and a drink carrier. When I begin struggling with everything, I kick the door as hard as I can. It opens quickly and I'm met with a pair of giant green eyes.
Hunter quickly grabs the bag out of my hands and opens the door so that I can walk inside. "Thanks," I whisper with a small smile.
I walk in to see Grandpa sitting on the couch, arms folded over his chest as he stares up at the TV. His head tilts towards me and he smiles. "Camille."
Here we go...
"I got you some food," I state as I make my way into the kitchen. Hunter follows me in, setting the bag down on the counter and I turn to him.
"Thank you for staying and watching him." I sigh with a smile. "I hope he didn't grill you too hard."
He nods slowly, his cheeks red and hair dishiveld. My brows furrow slightly and I take a step towards him. "You okay?" I ask.
His eyes meet mine and he sucks his bottom lip in between his teeth. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine." He shakes his head before running his hand through his hair.
"You sure?" I grab him by his waist and his hands grasp my arms.
"Yeah, I'm fine. We can just talk about it later." He tells me and my brow raises.
"Camille! Where's my food?" Hunter sighs softly, resting his forehead against mine.
"Coming!"I call back as my eyes flutter shut, loving the feeling of his hands on my waist. Just loving him, all in all. "Will you take our food up into my room and we can watch a movie or something?"
"Yeah, okay." He nods.
We begin going through the bag and sorting out our food. I take Grandpa his food as Hunter walks upstairs with the bag and his latte.
"Thank you, Issy." Grandpa whispers as I unfold his sandwich. My head snaps towards him and I smile at the sound of my nickname.
"You're welcome."
"That boy of yours is a real good one." He states and my brow raises. "Better hold onto 'em. He's a keeper."
"I know, Grandpa. I know."
When I get upstairs, Hunter is sitting on my bed and typing away at my computer. "What are you doing?" I ask.
"Putting on a movie." He states without looking away from the screen.
"What about my password?" I mumble as I sit down next to him, making sure that he wasn't just locking me out.
"Your password is my birthday, which is kind of weird but I find it cute." He tells me, eyes still searching for a movie.
"It isn't just your birthday, you dummy."
"Yeah, it's also the-"
"I stole your first kiss." Hunter finally looks over at me, a smirk on his lips.
"At your birthday party, in your backyard, in the big bounce house. It was before everyone showed up and you thought you were all cool showing me the bounce house and everything," I say and we both laugh.
"And we went inside and bounced around for not even five minutes, and then you fell down." He adds and I cover my face. "Somehow burning your knee on the material."
"Oh my god!" I groan while laughing.
"So I offered to get you a band-aid but you were crying and you told me that you didn't want me to leave you alone."
