I was currently sitting in the front seat of Hunter's car, humming quietly to the music playing over the radio. Hunter was sitting next to me with one hand on the wheel and the other sitting lazily on the gear shift. Cam is sitting in the back seat behind me, playing on his psp.

We're following Dad's Mercedes to towns square where we're going to ice skate. Earlier, Hunter mentioned that this was going to be our first date and I nearly died. Literally.

I glance over at Hunter to see him focused on the road. As if he can sense me staring at him, he looks over at me and smiles widely. I smile back at him before my smile fades when he grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers. My breath catches in my throat and I look back at Hunter with wide eyes. He smirks victoriously before turning back to the road.

I roll my eyes while letting out a shaky breath when my eyes meet the building with a giant ice skate mounted on the brick wall. Hunter parks next to my dad's car and we all get out. I walk around to Hunter's side as I look around. The parking lot is barely filled so the rink shouldn't be full.

My eyes snap up to Hunter's when he wraps his arm around my shoulders and pulls me into his side. He smiles down at me before leading me towards the rink, behind Cam. When we get inside we all walk over to the desk and get our skates, Hunter getting mine for me and I silently question how he knows my foot size.

As I'm lacing up skates, Hunter sits down next to me on the bench and unlaces his shoes. "Have you ever ice skated before?" He asks and I look over at him with a small smile.

"Yes. Have you?" I raise a brow when his cheeks turn pink.

"Nope. Never." He shakes his head before picking up one of his skates and furrows his brow at it. I chuckle softly before kneeling off of the bench and forcing Hunter's skate onto his foot. "What are you doing!?" He hisses at me and I grin. "You're making me look like a total bitch in front of your dad!"

"Stop moving!" I force his leg to stay still while buckling his skate. "All you have to do is buckle the straps!" I hit his arm when he tries to slap my hands away.

"Let me do it myself!"

"You think you can manage?" I ask. "Cam's already done with his!" I point towards my little brother and Hunter follows.

"I can do it!" Hunter barks at me after seeing Cam standing in his skates while putting his shoes in a locker. He pulls on his other skate and fastens the straps under thirty seconds. He looks up at me with a smirk, "See. I did it. On my own!"

"Normal teenage boys can fasten their skates on their own, Hunt." I pinch his cheek and he rolls his eyes. Hunter stands up and holds his hands out for me. I grab them and he raises me up.

When he begins to wobble, I place my hands on his waist and he grabs my arm. His eyes go from wide to narrowed in less than one second. "I don't need help." He states in a low growl.

"You're going to fall." I tell him.

He rolls his eyes before forcing my hands away from his waist and places them on his shoulders. "I hold you up. It's not the other way around."

"That's sexist." I tell him with narrowed eyes.

Hunter's eyes widen and lips part when he realizes what he had said. "That's not what I meant." He tells me. "I meant that the guy-"

"Is supposed to be the hero?" I raises a brow and his cheeks turn pink. "How could you become even more of a cliche?" I remove my hands from his shoulders and take a step back. He instantly loses his balance and falls onto the bench with a loud thud. He winces before looking up at me with squinted eyes and gritted teeth. "Still don't need help?"
