After lunch, where my dad didn't talk at all, Hunter and I go up to my room and he helps me pack my duffel. "So..." Hunter whispers and I look up at him. "Your old man is cool with you leaving?" He raises a brow.
"No," I laugh while shaking my head. "He's definitely not cool with it. But I want to go home. I miss my own bed."
"Yeah, me too." He stretches into the air before throwing me my brush.
"You didn't have to stay." I remind him and he grins over at me as I run my brush through my nappy hair.
"I wanted to. I want to be wherever you are, Bells." He walks over to the bed and sits down beside me.
"You drive me absolutely insane. You realize that right?" I ask and his brows furrow.
"You've told me once or twice." He nods slowly.
I avoid his burning gaze and shove my brush into my duffel. When I'm finished packing, I zip it up and look over at Hunter. "Ready?" I ask.
"Let me go check on Cam real quick." He smiles before jumping off of the bed and walking towards the door. When the door shuts behind him, I get off the bed and walking over to the balcony doors. I look down at the backyard to see my dad and Linda sitting on the porch drinking from mugs.
I sigh heavily before turning around and sitting down on my bed. I pull out my phone and furrow my brows at the screen. I have multiple missed calls and unread messages from my mom. Her name appears on the screen and I quickly press my phone against my cheek.
"Mom?"
"Bella!" She sighs heavily. "You weren't answering your phone so I was worried."
"What's going on? Are you okay?" I ask.
"Yes, I'm fine. It's just that your father called me and told me that you're coming home today."
My entire face goes red.
Has my dad told my mom about Hunter? Mom doesn't know that he came down here to see me. I remember her calling me the day we got here and telling me that Hunter had mentioned something about him going to see some girl that ended up being me... But she doesn't know that or that he's stayed with us the entire time.
"Yeah... Cam and I are already packed." I manage to say. "Is that a problem?"
"No, of course not. I miss you two so much! Hurry up and get home." She states and I can't help but smile. "But since I thought you were going to stay longer, Willow invited me to eat dinner with her, Hunter, and Little Mickey."
"Oh?"
"I will ask her if you two could-"
"No, mom. It's okay. Cam and I haven't been home for a couple days so he might want to stay home." I say quietly and my stomach begins to churn.
"Are you sure? I'm think Hunter would love to see you since you've been gone for so long."
I raise a brow, "What? Why would you think that?"
"Uh... I don't... know."
"Mom?"
"Um... Baby, I got to go. Willow's here and we're going to go shopping."
I roll my eyes, "Mom?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you buy me fairy lights for my room?" I smirk and I hear her gasp.
"I guess you'll have to see when you get home?"
She hangs up before I can say anything. I drop my phone onto the bed and Hunter walks into my room. I furrow my brows at him, "Is he ready?" I ask.
