Beverly draws her hand back and my eyes widen faster than the speed of light.
"Pardon?" Beverly asks, nearly star-struck.
"I'm Bella's boyfriend. It's nice to finally meet you." Hunter smiles at her before glancing over at me and winking.
Beverly turns to me, eyes still wide and mouth still agape. "I thought you said he was just your friend." She states a bit harshly.
"Um..." I look over at Hunter who's trying not to laugh. "You didn't let me finish. I was going to say he was my friend. My boyfriend." I tell Beverly and her eyes narrow.
"Anyways," Hunter leans off his car and runs his hand through his hair to be dramatic, I roll my eyes, "we better get going. We don't want to miss our reservation."
"Reservation?" Beverly and I ask at the same time.
"Yeah. Did you forget? It's out four-year anniversary." He grins.
Beverly's jaw drops, literally, to the ground. Now he's just overdoing it.
I stifle a laugh before nodding. "I did! I totally forgot." I shake my head while smiling at him.
"Well," Beverly sighs, "if it is your four-year anniversary and you're probably going to a really fancy restaurant," she then turns me and looks me up and down, "you need something else to wear."
I raise a brow as my eyes widen. "My outfit is perfectly fine."
"No, babe." Hunter shakes his head and my heart stutters when he calls me babe. "Beverly is right. That outfit is not fancy enough for where we're going. I think you better change into a dress." He smirks and Beverly nods in agreement.
Even though my heart is doing somersaults, I speak through clenched teeth, "I don't have any dresses."
"Good thing I do!" Beverly smiles. "Hunter, why don't you come inside while I prep her up." She waves him. She then grabs me and starts pulling me towards the door.
As I'm being yanked across the street, I turn around to see Hunter following us with an amused smile. Beverly throws open the door and pushes me towards the stairs as Hunter steps in.
"I'll be there in a minute. Strip before I get in there." She waves her finger at me.
The only other person who talks to me like this is Lydia. And I don't know if I'm used to it not being Lydia.
My eyes flicker over to Hunter who is now smirking devilishly at me. "Goooooo!" Beverly pushes me. I roll my eyes before walking upstairs and into my bedroom.
After about five minutes of waiting in my bra and underwear, Beverly comes in with six different dresses. "Oh, god," I mutter as she shuts the door. "Where's Hunter?"
"Downstairs with Cam." She tells me as she lays all the dresses on the bed. "So I brought you some different choices. It's a little chilly out so for this one," she holds up a short, no sleeve black dress, "I thought you could pair it with the brown leather jacket you were wearing. Ooh! Or for this one," she holds up a red long sleeve dress that ends at the thighs, "you can wear some tan leggings and a scarf. I can lend you them." She continues pairing the outfits.
I decide on the red dress. I pull it on as she goes into her room to get leggings and a scarf.
I walk over to the mirror and begin brushing my hair out. My door opens and I turn around, expecting to see Beverly but instead it's Hunter.
