A cold breeze flows through my room, causing me to cuddle deeper into the warmth of my blanket. I hear the quiet sound of the door opening but I continue to keep my eyes shut.
Whatever it is, it can wait until I'm rested.
I feel the blanket being lifted and laid back down, but also the bed sinking from someone's weight. My eyes snap open to meet Lydia's.
"Jesus Christ!" I shout loudly, leaning up faster than the speed of light.
She remains laying down on the bed with a dazed smile. "W-What the hell, Lydia?" I hiss at her. "Where the hell were you? Why didn't you answer my calls." I grab my phone off of my desk to check the time. "And why are you here at four A.M.?"
"James and I had a chat." She leans up and I notice that she's still in her gown.
"For nine hours?" I raise a doubtful brow.
"We had a long chat."
"And..?"
"And..." She puckers her lips while looking around. "We had sex."
My eyes widen, "You guys had sex again?"
"Again. And again, and again," she begins to giggle and I can't help but smile awkwardly at the weirdo.
"Damn, Lydia. You've become a sex fiend."
"No, I haven't!"
I roll my eyes, "Where'd you go to have sex?"
"He rented a hotel room. I suggested going to my place but he didn't agree."
"What did you guys talk about before you had sex?"
"Us..."
"Us?"
"He said he couldn't stop thinking about me after the party. And I told him I couldn't stop thinking about him either. Then he pushed me up against the wall and started making out with me." She shrugs before smiling. "What happened to you tonight? I ran into Vanessa while we were leaving, she was dancing with Charlie. And she said you disappeared."
"Oh," I whisper and look down at my lap. "Just stupid stuff with Hunter. It's no big deal."
"What happened?"
"Nothing." I shake my head. "I think my step siblings are out for all of my friends." I change the subject and she laughs.
"Who is Beverly after?"
"Chris and/or Charlie," I muse and we both laugh.
"Tonight was a great night." Lydia states as she cuddles into my side.
"Yeah," I lie but she doesn't seem to notice. "They had nice punch."
She giggles again, "It was nice altogether."

On Saturday morning, Cam continuously runs back and forth down the hallway. I lay the basket of laundry down on my bed and stay halfway into the hall. "Cameron!" I shout loudly.
He runs out of his room with a VR headset strapped to his face and runs into the wall. "Ah!" He winces and falls to the ground. He removes the headset and glares at me. "What the heck, Bella?"
"Why are you running around like a psychopath!?"
"Because I have to run in order to play the game!" He shakes they headset teasingly and I roll my eyes.
"Mom told you that you're not supposed to move around with that thing on. You're going to break something."
"Whatever!" He sighs heavily and stands up.
