Since Hunter left, I eat the soup on my own. Around five, my mom and brother come home, shouting at each other.

"No!" I hear Cam shout.

I quickly jump off my bed and run downstairs. "Cameron." My mom groans.

"What's going on?"

"I don't want to go to dad's." Cam looks at me.

"You're both going." Mom states.

"When?"

"Tomorrow morning."

"No, I'm not," Cam tells her and I grab onto his shoulders, pulling him towards me.

"Yes, you are."

"Cam, don't argue," I whisper in his ear and he whips around.

"You're agreeing with her!?" He spits in disgust.

Am I? "Cam, I don't want to go to dad's just as much as you don't. Maybe even more. But there's gonna be free food."

Cam rolls his eyes and pushes my hands off of his shoulders. "I am not going."

"Cameron." Mom growls.

"Okay! Cam, how about we go upstairs?" I grab his shoulders again and push him towards the stairs. "We can talk about this after mom has had at least ten hours of sleep."

He grumbles something before walking upstairs and slamming his door behind him. I turn to mom to find her smiling lazily at me.

"What?" I furrow my brows.

"I just love you so much." She wraps her arms around my shoulders and kisses the side of my head. I furrow my brows while smiling at her. "How was your day, sweetie?"

Well...

We walk into the kitchen and she goes to the fridge as I sit down at the counter. "Um... it was fine." I shrug.

"It was 'fine'?" She quirks a brow.

"It wasn't anything special."

"Mm?" She smirks.

I narrow my eyes at her. "What are you 'mm'-ing for?"

"I just had a call from a certain friend, that's all."

"Who?"

"Willow." She grins at me.

"What are you talking about?" I furrow my brows at her.

"She told me that Hunter came home sick today. And then she saw him sneaking into your room." She begins winking at me.

"No, no, mom. Nothing happened." I shake my head.

"I never said anything happened." She smirks.

Oh my god. I put my head in my hands. Oh my god. Change the subject, Bella, just change it to something else. "You're forcing us to go to dad's?"

She rolls her eyes at me. "Not this again."

"I'm not complaining. I want to go away for a few days. Just wish it was somewhere else." I mumble.

"Whatever. I'm not forcing you, exactly.."

"Yeah, well that's not how Cam sees it." I chuckle.

"Oh, he'll get over it once he sees the deviled eggs."

I smile at my mom as she dances around the kitchen making herself dinner. After we've talked about her day at the hospital, I go back up to my room. When I walk through the door, I notice the fan is still blowing towards my bed.
