As I rip off the wrapper of my lollipop, my eyes stay fixed on the young girl handing out flyers. I'm not sure what they're about or why she's doing it but her hard work inspires me.
Soon her eyes land on mine and I quickly look away – how subtle I am...
"Excuse me, sir?" She calls out to me, I look at her and find a shy smile on her face.
"Yes?" I say, unconsciously twirling the lollipop in my hand.
"If you could take your time reading this leaflet, I'd be very grateful." She hands me one of the flyers she's been trying to give to people.
"Of course." I say with a smile, taking the flyer and brushing my finger with her hand in the process.
She immediately but discreetly pulls her hand away and mutters a thank you before getting her things, I guess she's going to another place now.
My eyes stay glued on her back, some part of me wants to help her, talk to her, become close with her...
It's not the right time, so I'll just look at you from afar behind you...
She turns around once again and I can't seem to tear my gaze away.
She gives a sweet smile, a genuine smile, before waving and walking off.
...I shouldn't.
