" Hey, but then I came and gave him a punch to remember... Remember? "

...

Katherine's POV:

I can't lie, I love the way he looked at me. He smiled the moment he turned around, so I suppose I left a good impression. It's nice to see him in a fancy shirt, fancier than ones he wears when he's on stage. I was pretty impressed myself. Matt left right after we greeted each other, so I guess it was time for us to head to our destination, whatever it was, Shawn didn't tell me, but it's fine. I like surprises.

" You look so good, by the way. " I had to tell him, I just had to.

He smiled my way and returned compliment. At first, that was the only conversation we had tonight. He didn't talk much and I definitely didn't want to start another one. I wanted him to talk, ask and seem more interested like he did through messages. I suppose he just needed time.

I was right.

His phone buzzed and then "Demons" started playing. It was his ringtone. I looked at him wide-eyed and told him excitingly: " I absolutely adore that song. It's one of my favorites! "

" Really? Your too? "

" Yes. It reminds me of many things in my life actually. "

" Oh. " That was his respond. I just wanted him to continue because I really need to talk to someone. Someone like him.

" What's wrong? " He asked as we walked down the shore and sat on one of benches.

I was glad that he asked, I was looking forward to it, but when I realized that he actually asked me that, I didn't know what to say, how to answer. I wanted to tell him everything I was thinking about at that very moment, but words just couldn't form their way out.

" I... I'm just really scared because of what happened last night. That guy that came out of nowhere... freaked me out a little too much and when we started... basically wrestling on the ground... "

I could clearly see that expression on his face changed when I mentioned that guy.

" Hey, but then I came and gave him a punch to remember... Remember? "

I laughed a bit and then he did, too.

" You don't have to worry about him or anything else, but if you do, just call me and we can talk about it or whatever you want to talk about. Believe me, if that guy isn't stupid at all, he won't try to do anything similar. "

" Thank you so much. God, you really know how to make people feel better. " I said and I hugged him and he did the same in return. It was nice to hug him again, but there was something even nicer.

We sat beside each other again. " After all those reminders, you haven't even mentioned your precious muffins. "

We started laughing and then I pulled a box out of my bag. I opened it and when he wanted to take one, he accidentally touched my hand. I felt that feeling again. The feeling that couldn't be explained, but still one of most beautiful ones ever. I didn't know if he felt the same. I don't know and I won't bother to find out, not yet. I just wanted to sit there with him, eat muffins and enjoy the night.

SHAWN'S POV:

I totally forgot about the muffins and I was even more surprised when she mentioned them. She's so smart and I couldn't get over that fact. I froze when I reached out for muffin because instead of muffin I touched her hand. But the feeling was so good, the memories of last night started coming back to me. I smiled to myself when I remembered of the moment I touched her for the first time. I knew it wouldn't be the last one, too, but I didn't expect it would happen too soon. Not that I complain about that.

Shawn liked her muffins so much and when she told him that she made them, he was even more amazed by her.

Even if it wasn't a real date, they still felt good just laughing and talking together. Nights like this one could one day grow into something bigger, something that they both wanted and desired. They didn't want to hurry. They needed to be sure if they're good for each other.
