Kabanata XXI: Angel and Tofer

"Kamusta naman ang escapade sa Cebu?" bungad na tanong sakin ni Mateo pagpasok ko ng condo. I throw my body on the sofa and recklessly removed by shoes. I'm just freaking tired.

I can't even manage to look at him. "It's not an escapade Mateo. TRABAHO ang pinunta ko dun. Remember?" I made it clear that aside from patching things up with Ken we are there to settle the project which we successfully did.

Naiturnover ng mabilis yung project and all we need to do now is constant monitoring of the construction itself. Na pwede naman gawin every month.

"Really? So your work includes the nipping and kissing? Oops may jelly jelly pa." that made me glared at him. Yes I told him about that but goodness he don't need to bring it up with my brother just around the corner. Mababalatan ako ng buhay ni Kuya pag nalaman niyang nakipagmake out ako in public.

Sumulyap ako sa paligid making sure he's not there. " You better shut up or I'll pull out your tongue and throw it to the dogs. My conservative brother is a wall away from us." halos pabulong ang sinabi ko pero I make sure na may diin ito.

Tumawa naman ang baklang ito at dinampot ang isang envelope sa lamesa. "I guess he knew it before you told me. He's a Villanueva after all." aniya habang winawagayway ang isang envelope.

Kumunot ang noo ko at nagtatakang tiningnan siya. "What do you mean?" he smirked at inilabas niya ang maraming collections ng pictures hindi ko pa gaanong naintindihan ang lahat pero nanlaki ang mata ko ng mapagtantong picture namin iyun ni Ken sa Cebu. Merong kuha sa dalampasigan, sa veranda nila, meron ding habang nagjejetski kami and the last one made me flushed red.

It's the kiss. No no no it's the make out kiss.

"Nasan si Kuya?"

Mateo smirked. "Afraid Mandy?"

"Of course! He'll kill me lalo na at sinagot ko si Ken without his approval. So where is he?"

His eyes widened and I realized I haven't told him that part. "You what?" he shouted on the top of his lungs. Kahit kailan si Mateo OA magreact.

"Stop making a big deal out of it." I rolled my eyes. Nung hindi ko pa sinasagot si Ken kinukulit niya kong bigyan ng chance ngayong sinagot ko na may pasigaw-sigaw pang nalalaman.

He giggled. "I knew it. Nasa balcony si Kyle smoking and drinking lagot ka!" aniya bago tinungo ang kitchen.

Hay nako, masasabon na naman ako nito. Nagpalit muna ko ng damit bago puntahan ang kapatid ko. I know telling him that I'm with Ken is not easy. Overprotective pa naman yun.

Sa lahat ng nakarelasyon ko noon kahit isa walang nakilala si Kuya kasi hindi ko sila sineryoso at madalas out of the country sina Kuya noon. I don't know what would be his reaction. One thing is sure, it would be tough.

I saw my brother's broad shoulder. Mateo was right. He's here. Huminga ako ng malalim. Lumapit ako at naupo sa tabi niya.

"Cigarette Kuya? Really?"

Tiningnan niya ako at pinaningkitan ng mata. "Hwag mo kong unahan ng galit Mandy dahil hindi uubra. Kamusta ang Cebu?" I pursed my lips. His eyes are so serious I couldn't even fathom it.

"Kuya kasi ano eh.." paano ko ba sisimulan? Should I just straighly say na kami na ni Ken? O kailangan ko muna bumwelo? OMG this is hard I should have called Ken for this.
