Pickles | Fiorella
Felix | CarriePickles was in a dilemma. Her old best friend had returned to Soho after eleven years and her mother wanted her to go meet him. She didn't know what to do.
At the extremely young age of seven, they were inseparable but one day, without a word, he and his family (excluding his sister who had stayed in Soho to finish her A-levels) moved to Yorkshire. Where in Yorkshire she did not know but if she did, knowing her, she would constantly ask to go there.
As soon as he had reached his new home, he called her and in an extremely sad voice, he had told her that he was never coming back. That was the exact moment her heart decided to ache for a certain little boy. She knew it wasn't his fault but couldn't he have told her earlier? Was she the real reason he left? According to her brother, who was a very unreliable source, he had moved because of a family thing. He never specified what but she hoped he was ok.
They decided to keep in contact with each other and then meet up when they were older but she found new friends and so did he.
And now, years later, he had decided to come back and she didn't know what to do at all. Did she go see him or did she refuse? He had probably forgotten about the little girl that sat in booth number seven (because of their age) with him in Cerys' Café or the little girl that lent him her dog for a few hours. A lifetime's worth of memories gone in a second.•••
While she was stressing herself over him, she hadn't noticed two people slide into the seats at the booth she was sitting at.
"Jonah Reyes is coming to town!" sang Fiorella.
"Don't remind me." groaned Pickles trying not to explode from thinking about Jonah.
"Mm hmm. But we have to. Because he is in Soho right now." said Felix looking over to the counter of the café.
Pickles' head snapped up.
"HE IS?"
The siblings nodded.
"Ya. He's here in all his glory and apparently, he's beautiful. Well, his next door neighbour, who happens to be Lola, says so anyway."
"Well, we all know that she thought he was." smirked Felix pointing at Pickles.
She shook her head wildly and reached over the table and slapped Felix.
"You're what, twenty-nine and yet your idea of fun is teasing teenagers? I pity you Felix. How could we share the de Luca name? You're hardly related to this beautiful thing. You don't have the looks or the intelligence." she chastised in mock seriousness while motioning to herself.
"Hahaha yeah. Dream on chipmunk."
"Er, hello? The matter on hand is Jonah for god's sake."
"Oh yeah. Forgot about him."
She glared at Fiorella who just smiled.
"My mum has arranged for me to go see him. Ugh. I don't know what to do."
"Kill him?
"I don't Sera would be pleased with that. The kid's sweet." came a voice from behind them. Carrie.
"Yo Carrie!" greeted Fiorella.
"Yo Fi."
"Hey Carrie!" smiled Pickles.
"How ya doin' Carrie?" asked Felix.
"Hey mini-Jules. You're lame, Felix."
"I AM NOT."
"Shut up because you are. Anyway, tell me what's going on. I heard Jonah has come back."
Carrie was a natural counsellor and Pickles could rely on her to talk about anything.
"My mum wants me to see him and bond because we can't just be like this for the rest of our lives. But, the thing is, no one did anything to make us friends in eleven bloody years so why should we be friends now? Why? He just left without a word to me in person and decides to sashay back into Soho expecting hugs and kisses. I don't think so."
Carrie patted Pickles' hand and softly said, "But you don't know his feelings do you?
That simple question made Pickles surprised. All this time, she had been thinking that he was looking forward to seeing her but what if he wasn't? What if he felt the exact same way?
"And that is when she becomes existential." commented Felix, earning himself a punch from Carrie and a kick from Fiorella.
"I don't know..." groaned Pickles, "I don't know what to do. I'm going to end up meeting him either way because of Sera's baby but, ugh!"
"You know what, how about we talk about something more pleasant and I'll get us some food and drinks- Yes Felix, on the house. No, I'm not going to spike yours. I have better things to do." and Carrie walked off to the kitchen to get some delicious treats for the four of them.
"I've got to do something. I'll be back." and Pickles made her way to the door and pulled out her phone. She scrolled through her contacts until she reached J.
Time to call JJ. She put the phone to her ear until,
"PICKLES!"
A/N: Fiorella is pronounced Fur-ella for those who are confused. And yes, a real life chapter with cameos!! Carrie popped up as well! Poor Pickles and her dilemmas. Oh and for those who don't know, A-levels is high school but British.
Question: A goal you want to achieve?
