Jonah | Elena
Sera | Jules
OtherOnce the nurse had said this, Jules had jumped up from his seat and went towards the doctor.
"Is there any way if I could stay with my wife?" Jules asked nervously.
The doctor looked at him and after a moment's hesitation, she nodded.
"For now, you can stay with her during her birth." and then she exited the room with a distraught Jules.

During all of this, Willow had got down from Jonah's lap and had sleepily walked towards Sera's mum who was crying. She had patted her on the knee and hugged her grandmother without even knowing that her mother was on the line between death and life while giving birth to her sibling which made Maura gladly hold Willow in her arms.
"Jonah, Elena, we're going out so that Maura can calm down with Willow. We'll be outside and if anything happens, call me." said Elena's mum before running off to help Willow who was trying to jump from Maura's arms and now, Elena and Jonah were alone in the same room.

Both of them glanced at each other from the corner of their eyes before realising that they were staring at each other and they quickly looked away continuing to sit in silence for an hour and when Elena was in the middle of messaging Fiorella, a nurse came out of the room and looked at them which made Jonah's chest feel constricted and made fear rise up.
"Don't worry kids. She's doing well for her condition. She's allowed another person in the room so she asked for Jonah? Is that you? Come right in!" and Jonah gladly jumped up from the chair. Sharing a room with her was awkward and he wanted to see Sera.
Meanwhile, while Jonah was relieved, Elena felt left out and sad because at that moment, she was alone and thought that no one wanted to be around her. She just sighed and plugged in her earphones and put on her music. She then closed her eyes and lay back and let the soothing notes of the song slowly wash over her body engulfing her body in calm and made her stop worrying for half an hour until she felt a tap on her shoulder and she opened her eyes to see Jonah sitting right next to her and his beautiful hazel eyes were looking at her with a mix of pity.
She jumped back and moved away from him and closed her eyes but then she felt another tap and she opened her eyes to see Jonah mouth something. She took out her earphones and raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
He hesitated before looking down.
"Sorry Elena."
Her annoyed face turned into surprise and she gaped at him as he continued to speak.
"I'm so sorry, Ellie. I'm a horrible person. I know I left all those years ago and I never really made an effort to talk to you but my mum was really sick at the time and I was worried. I thought you knew the other day and you were being rude but then I realised that no one had told you and during those times you had problems too. I never knew that your dad had come back after eleven years only to go again and I'm sorry. I was such a shallow idiot and I'm sorry-"
"It's ok. You're forgiven." she whispered not knowing what made her say that, which made Jonah lift his head and look at her in disbelief.
