Chapter 14

Jason, Alex and Sira were enjoying a meal of hamburgers, fries and milkshakes. They were laughing, smiling and having a good time.
Sirens filled the air as the three were finishing up their meal.

"WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE, JASON MCCANN! BRING THE TWO GIRLS, UNHARMED! NICE AND EASY!" A voice yelled over the mega phone.

Jason's POV:

I looked over at Alex and Sira, confused. I looked over and a server widen her eyes. She dropped all the plates of food and begin to run. I looked over at Alex, smiled and grabbed her by her neck to put her in a choke hold. Sira had tears in her eyes. I felt sorry for the little five year old girl.

"I'll explain all of this later." I whispered to Alex has I held her tight but not so tight that she could not breathe. I began to walk out of the restaurant very slowly. I felt stares coming at me from the different customers.

Once we were outside, I looked over the scene before me. Helicopters, SWAT team cars and guns were all around me. Then, a gun shot and a blood hurling scream came from someone. An officer dropped their weapon and ran towards the opposite direction.

Alex broke from my grip and went toward the bleeding man. Blood came gushing out of his heart. She looked at me, in a state of panic and I took of my shirt. Alex grabbed it and applied pressure to the man's wound. A few minutes later, his eyes were shut and he laid there motionless. He was dead. Everything seem to stand frozen in time.

Alex's POV:

Justin, Jason, Sira and I were at the police station. The police wanted to interview Jason.

"What is Jason doing, Alex?" Sira pulled on my shirt.

"He's just talking to the nice police man." I tried to calmly explained to the kindergartener.

"But why?" She asked, looking into my eyes.
"No more questions, sweetie." I hand her my phone to keep her occupied.

The anxiety was becoming uncontrollable as the sweat poured down my face and pits.
"I'm free to go." Jason walked out with a huge grin on his face.

"H-How?" I asked, completely confused. Sira wasn't paying any kind of attention to what was going on.

"It's best you don't know." He put his hand on my shoulders, grabbed Sira and walked out of the station.

"Justin, let's go." Jason said, getting Justin's attention. I had completely forgotten he was with us. He stared at us, opening his mouth to say something but nothing came out.
