In uncomfortable situations, I was always told me to be respectful and sophisticated. You were probably told the same advice.
I wished things could be different after our kiss. When we kissed, I didn't worry about anything else; just you and I, sitting in the garden with no one else among our surroundings. It was surreal, and I wish it could have lasted forever.
Unfortunately, things only seemed to get more confusing from there. Oh, the irony.
Rosé's alarm - otherwise known as Taeyong - began lightly shaking her awake, annoying her to an extreme extent.
"What, Taeyong?" She exclaimed, squeezing her eyes shut in frustration and turning her back against her fiancé.
"It's eleven in the morning, Rosé," he responded exasperatedly, "you need to get up; you can't keep sleeping in."
"I'll do what I want," Rosé stated boldly, "I'm not in school anyways."
"Doesn't matter if you're in school or not." Taeyong grumbled. "Your parents are going to yell at you themselves if you're not downstairs for brunch in the next half hour."
Rosé groaned and sat up, finally giving in. At this point, she was sure she looked like a mess, considering how her hair was sticking out at practically every angle possible.
"What happened to you?" Taeyong questioned her in a "weirded out" way, dropping all formalities. "You look like you've been through hell. And why did you get back so late last night?"
"It was actually more like 'the gates of heaven' rather than hell," Rosé said, "and I was with Jaehyun, remember?"
"You got back at like, one in the morning." Taeyong said pointedly. "What took you guys so long?"
Rosé blushed slightly and lowered her head, and Taeyong raised his eyebrows.
"Were you guys busy-"
"NO, Taeyong!" Rosé nearly shouted. "I know what you're going to say, and no. You and Jennie are always like this, I swear!"
Taeyong shrugged, smiling sheepishly. "What can I say? We're a match made in heaven."
"More like a match made by the devil." Rosé muttered, climbing out of the bed and heading into the bathroom.
"Out of all of the people I have to be married to, I can't believe it's you." Taeyong joked, rolling his eyes.
"Hm." Rosé said. "Lucky for you, I like dark humor; otherwise I would have knocked you out just now."
Rosé cheerfully walked down the staircase, a little skip evident in her stroll. She was still ecstatic after what had happened last night; the dinner, the garden, kissing Jaehyun - it all felt like a dream, not to mention it'd been her first kiss.
Rosé's thoughts were immediately cut off when a hand grabbed her wrist, quickly pulling her behind the wall. She looked up at the source and was about to tell whoever it was to back off, until she realized that it was Jaehyun who had pulled her to the side.
"Jaehyun? What are you doing?" Rosé asked him. "Shouldn't we be eating right now?"
"No time for that, damn it." Jaehyun said, breathing heavily. He looked slightly - scratch that - completely panicked as he looked Rosé right in the eye.
