a/n: this is the YUSOO side story I told you guys about (how they met, how they fell in love, etc). its pretty long because I'm summing up their whole story into one chapter, unlike what I'm doing with jaerosé, so feel free to skip if you're uninterested. also there's a lottttt of cursing in this chapter, just a heads up. for those of you reading, I hope you enjoy, and prepare yourself for a long ass ride (5k words)!!

"Somehow, you convinced me
to believe in love again."

Eighteen.

That was how old Jisoo had been when she realized she'd fallen in love.

Jisoo hadn't always been the nicest girl, especially when it came to meeting new people. Granted, she wasn't a rude person, she was just a bit edgier than most girls her age.

Needless to say, Jisoo was well known for her beauty in the area that she and her friends lived in. She was admired by everyone, regardless of how kind she was to them.

The only thing that stopped her from living the dream life of every single teenage girl was love. Commitment, to be exact.

Jisoo couldn't commit. She was responsible, yes, and smart as well; but when it came to committing herself to relationships, she couldn't do it. It was too overwhelming.

It wasn't until she met a certain boy that she began to face the most difficult challenge she'd ever undergone; was she finally ready to love?

Four Years Before Present Day

"You should really find yourself a man, Chichu." Jennie said as she brushed Jisoo's soft, brown locks. "You seem kind of lonely these days."

"I'm not lonely." Jisoo said, rolling her eyes. "And quit complaining about my love life; you have Taeyong, anyways."

"I know." Jennie shrugged, unfazed by Jisoo's temporary hostility, seeing as it was a rather normal thing. "I'm just surprised you haven't found anyone yet, considering how many guys are constantly fawning over you. Hell, even Taeyong had a crush on you before we became a thing."

"Everyone's had a crush on Jisoo at some point in their lives, it's nothing new." Chaeyoung said, coming up from behind the two girls and looking at Jisoo in the mirror. "You're lucky, by the way, I'm going to be single for the rest of my life."

"Alright, can we just, like, stop talking about romance for a minute?" Jisoo said, getting up from her chair. "It irks me."

"It's your call." Jennie said, getting up as well. "You'll find your man someday."

Jisoo scoffed. "Sure I will. Come on, guys, you know I can't commit; plus, my standards are way too high."

"We know," Chaeyoung piped up, "you've made it rather obvious to us over the past ten or so years."

"Whatever." Jisoo said, hiding a smile. "We should get going, we have dance class, remember?"

"Dance-" Jennie groaned, "I hate dancing."

"Too bad." Jisoo responded. "You're a part of royalty, you have to do it."

"You know what they say," Chaeyoung said, "royalty has it's perks, but it also has it's downsides."

Jisoo couldn't have agreed more.

"Today's class was hard." Jisoo exclaimed as she tried to catch her breath. "I didn't know contemporary dancing required that much physical energy."
