Burdens come in all different sizes. Whether they're small or large, they affect our lives regardless.

I'd been looking back in the past, trying to believe that Yeri and Taeyong were the burdens trying to ruin our lives. Who even let them into our lives in the first place? Not me, that's for sure; and not you, either.

Miracles do happen, however; and everything that's happened in the past few years has indeed been a miracle, no matter how many burdens we had to overcome. We've gotten to where we are now, and I couldn't be happier.

That being said, is it strange to believe in destiny? Several people see fate as a ridiculous concept; something that can't possibly be true. "Our lives are all planned out? Nonsense."

I do agree that every little thing we do changes what will happen in the future, as well as who we really are. But the thought that some things were simply meant to happen? That's a belief that I dedicate my life to.

Everything that happened to us in the past happened for a reason, and that reason was for our happiness.

Jaehyun groaned in frustration upon being woken up by his own mother; something that hadn't happened for at least five years.

"It's four in the afternoon, Jaehyun; get out of bed and start being productive!" Jaehyun's mother called as she turned on the lights in his room.

"Leave me alone, mother!" Jaehyun called back, pulling the sheets over his head in order to avoid the blinding light that had previously tried to murder his eyes.

Jaehyun didn't usually wake up this late, but after getting back to his room at eight in the morning after staying up all night watching movies with Rosé, Yuta, and Jisoo, his body hadn't registered how late it was until now.

"You're having dinner with Yerim, remember?" His mother said loudly, flipping off the lights in defeat. "Start getting ready soon."

Jaehyun exhaled heavily as his mother left, immediately dreading the fact that he had agreed to have dinner with Yerim. He wanted nothing more than to stay completely true to Rosé, but with his parents in the equation, things seemed to be getting much more complicated. Not to mention, Yerim clearly still had feelings for him, and they had already been in a past relationship.

"I want to die." Jaehyun whispered exasperatedly to himself, less sarcastically than usual. He headed into the bathroom to change and get ready, not caring about the fact that his hair was still a mess when he left. He wasn't exactly in the mood to look his best for tonight's dinner.

As he pointlessly stared at his reflection in the mirror, a knock at his door snapped him out of his trance. Startled, Jaehyun looked at the time; there was still fifteen minutes until Yerim was to arrive, and considering the fact that the two of them used to date, he knew her well enough to know that she enjoyed being "fashionably late".

Running a hand through his hair one last time, Jaehyun headed over to his door and opened it, fully expecting Yerim to show up in some fancy dress and shoes. Instead, to his pleasant surprise, it was Rosé who appeared in front of him, smiling brightly and making his heart beat significantly faster.

"Chae," Jaehyun smiled back, "what are you doing here?"

"I came to check up on you." Rosé said. "Your mother said something about you going on a date with Yerim?"
