Don't rush into love.

Even in fairytales, the happy ending takes place on the last page.

The next week or so consisted of both Rosé and Jaehyun desperately clinging on to each other, doing their best to pretend like there wasn't a catastrophe waiting to happen. Their friends were worried and did their best to comfort them, only for the main couple to push them away, insisting that everything was okay.

It wasn't, of course.

The past week, Rosé had been a complete mess— crying out in fear at the most inconvenient of times, and snapping at her family for the smallest reasons, especially her mother. They were unaware of what she knew, of course, and believed that she was simply going through the "emotional phase" of her life that she'd skipped out on as a young teenager,

That wasn't the case at all, however, and Rosé knew she had to stop acting out before her parents caught on. They were beginning to grow suspicious, she could tell— so, for the sake of herself, her family, and Jaehyun, she plastered a big smile on her face and acted like absolutely nothing was wrong.

It was the worst thing Rosé had ever done in her entire life.

Still, she carried on with it. She had to, of course.

For Jaehyun.

Jaehyun was studying European history in the palace library — or trying to, at least — by means of getting away from the drama surrounding him and Rosé. At least in here, no one would have to question where he was going, how he was, or what he was doing.

His parents had yet to confront him on the whole situation of moving back to America.

Of course, part of Jaehyun wanted to believe that what he'd seen had been a lie. Nevertheless, with the subtle looks passed around through his family and Rosé's, he knew it was the reality.

"Jaehyun?"

Jaehyun looked up from his book, immediately recognizing the voice as he bit down on his tongue anxiously.

"Yerim," he looked up, flashing her a half-hearted smile. "Hey."

"Hey," she responded, walking over and taking a seat next to Jaehyun. "Can we talk?"

"Sure," Jaehyun shrugged, closing his book. "What about?"

Yerim took a seat next to Jaehyun and sighed, biting down on the inside of her cheek.

"What's going on?" Jaehyun furrowed his brows, taking note of the nervous aura practically radiating off of the girl in front of him. "Yerim, spit it out-"

"We're moving back to America," Yerim interrupted him, her eyes staring deep into Jaehyun's. "We both are— your family and my family and you and I, just like before."

For a split second, Jaehyun was frozen. He couldn't believe this— of all people, Yerim was the one confronting him about this.

It didn't take long for Jaehyun's expression to turn stone cold.

"Did my parents send you to tell me this?" Jaehyun narrowed his eyes at Yerim.

Yerim nodded in response, breaking eye contact with the angered male. "They did."

"And they couldn't have told me themselves?" Jaehyun continued, his voice rising in volume. "Do they expect me to just follow through with what they say-"
