Katy’s POV

“HELP!” I tried screaming from the cell.

Yet I heard nothing.  Only the echo of my voice greeted me back.  At least it was a nice cell, compared to those dusty, dark, and moldy ones that you think about whenever one imagines a cell.

This cell still had bars, a bed, a toilet and a sink, but the walls weren’t made out of stone, they were made of tile.  Linoleum white, two by two inch, squares covered the floor and the walls up to the ceiling.  In fact, the ceiling was the only place that had a flat roof.  The steel bars, unfortunately had electricity running through them.

Even if I could get passed the electric bars, I wouldn’t be able to get passed the bars.  Usually I would just be able to use my werewolf strength, but whatever that dude injected me with has knocked out my wolf and buried her so deep that it was pointless to try calling to her.  It was in my better interest to just let her come back up on her own.  Meanwhile, I was going to try to find another way out.

So far, it wasn’t working out.

All I could see past the bars was more linoleum covered hallways.  My only other thought was to try climbing up the wall to the vent in the ceiling.

Problem with that was that the vent was right in the center of the ceiling where the bars and walls met.

It’s not so appetizing to me to become a human shish-kabob.

Then came the tapping.  The tapping of the shoes walking down the hallway, probably to come and get me.  Nowhere to hide and nothing to defend myself with, I crossed my arms over myself and stood about ten feet away from the bars.

“Hello dear.” The man who injected me said.

I stayed silent.

He tisked, “No need to be rude my dear, I only want to talk.”  His white lab coat was stained with red drops.  That was so cliché I wanted to roll my eyes.

“I don’t have anything to say to you.” I told him with my chin jutted out.

He raised an eyebrow, “Well Katy, I’m Neil.”

“And I care because?” I questioned.

“Well I’m the one that is going to kill you, doesn’t everyone like to know who their killer is?”

I spat him, “No.  Family members want to know so that ways they can go find him and take him down.”

He scowled, “Fine. Be that way.”  Out of his pocket he drew out a blow dart.  Literally, a blow dart. Who carries blow darts? Nobody, that’s who.

Before I could even think about dodging it, the dart lodged itself into my arm. Quickly I ripped it out, but it was already too late.  The burning sensation was crawling up my arm and spreading like fire throughout my veins.

“Is this going to kill me?” I asked him.

He smirked, “No, I wouldn’t want to kill you in a humane way, after all, you aren’t even human.”

“But you aren’t human, why would you kill another shifter?” I asked him.

His eyes darkened, “Maybe I never wanted to be shifter, maybe I was attacked by a shifter and turned into this vile… thing.”

“What are you? I can’t tell, I was never able to catch a scent from you.” I hissed from the burning.

He laughed, “A dog of course.”

“One last question,” I told him since the pain was quickly taking over.

“What?” he said.

“Why are you doing this? It’s not just that you were turned, otherwise you would have just killed the person who killed you and moved on.”

A pleased expression crossed his face, “Since you figured out that I have another motive, what do you think it is?”

It wasn’t said snidely just a moment of curiosity, but I still answered sarcastically, “For shits and giggles?”

He wickedly smiled back at me before everything turned dark and I was finally lost to the poison.

Kyle’s POV

I slammed my hands against the table in the kitchen, “Why hasn’t there been any word on Katy yet?”

Cameron sighed from across the table and put down th newspaper, “Scouts are still trying to piece together things from the locals.  As far as her trail, it ended in a motel but it was lost in the parking lot after she was put in a car.  The building doesn’t have any cameras, why would it? Nothing ever happens up here in the mountain anyways.”

“What about your dad? Has he just given up on finding her? I don’t exactly see him around trying to do everything to find her.”

He sighed, “I think on some level he refuses to believe that Tyler would actually kidnap his daughter.  He probably expects them to show up at any time now.  Monkey see, monkey do. The pack sees that he isn’t worried so they aren’t as panicked that she is missing.”

I snort, “And he just expects me to not be worried and not demand that something to be done? He is out of his god damn mind.”

Cam sighs, “Please don’t go starting trouble Kyle.”

I looked at him and grinned, “Oh I’m not going to say anything, I’m going to stomp through the pack and make it very clear that I want my mate and that I am going to go looking for her myself and no one is going to stop me.”

And that’s just exactly what I did.  Except that Cam decided to tail after me.

“What do you want Cameron?”

“I’m going to help you get back my sister of course!”

“Oh no you don’t!” I told him, “You are only going to slow me down.”

He laughed, “More the merrier.”

I snarled at him, “Fine, but you better keep out of my way and stay quiet.”

He simply rolled his eyes and kept walking, “You’re wasting time Kyle! Let’s go!”

I groaned, he was already causing problems.

Neil’s POV

Aw, it was good being the boss. Nobody questioned you, or could tell you what to do.  Yes, it certainty was, I thought.  Unfortunately, because of what I did, and the organization that helped me get to where I was, I had to be on a board with twelve others that were all like me, but all for different reasons. Then there was the big man, the one who helped us succeed and let us gain our revenge.  The only one all of us, the remaining eleven members, were comfortable with leading us.

Thanks to him, I was able to capture another wolf girl.  Another one destined to become an alpha.  Another one that would never get there. Very unfortunate for her.

I turned the electric off first and then slid the key into the lock and pulled open the steel doors to Katy’s cell.  Such a beauty passed out and defenseless.

I picked her up and tossed her over my shoulder, so that ways I could carry her easier to the torture room.

I laughed, more like her death room.

Thankfully I didn’t run into Lyte.  That boy was a nuisance more than anything else.

Like her cell, it had the same layout.  Except there was no bathroom and instead of a bed there was a table. An operating table.
