donghyuck woke up to the sound of whimpering at the foot of the bed; leaning over to turn on the little light.

it was waffle, and he had his tail between his legs. donghyuck sighed, leaning over to kiss mark's cheek gently. waffle jumped off the bed as donghyuck threw on some shoes and a sweater, and walked towards the back yard.

"you always wake me," donghyuck grumbled as the little puppy ran around, nearly hitting the side of the house. donghyuck yawned as he sat on the little swing, trying to stay awake. it was probably five in the morning; waffle does this daily.

"babe, are you out here," mark's quiet voice sounded, waking donghyuck up. waffle happily yipped, causing mark to chuckle. after playing with the puppy for a little bit, mark made his way over to donghyuck.

"why are you still up," mark mumbled, pulling donghyuck close to him. donghyuck shrugged, cuddling into mark's side. the street lights flooded their yard, casting a nice glow on mark's features. he had a little smile on his face while watching the puppy, and donghyuck felt a smile grow on his face, too.

"you're staring again," mark laughed, looking down at donghyuck. the youngers eyes widened, shifting his gaze to waffle.

"you should try and sleep, baby," mark sighed, wrapping his arm around donghyuck's waist, letting the younger rest his head on his shoulder.

"what about you," donghyuck asked, looking up at mark softly. mark kissed donghyuck gently, loving the warmth that came off of him.

"i'll be fine, i promise. we can even stay out here if you're not too cold," mark smiled, causing donghyuck's stomach to do flips and his heart to race.

"as long as you aren't cold," donghyuck sighed, also trying to wrap his arms around mark. mark sighed, content with donghyuck hugging him.

"sleep well, my prince," donghyuck chuckled, huddling as close as he can to his fiance. mark rolled his eyes, placing a kiss to the top of donghyuck's head.

"sleep well, my fiance," mark said before they both fell asleep, waffle right at their feet.
