mark stood in front of everyone, messing around with his hands. he was so nervous, he almost felt like he was going t be sick. taeyong placed his hands on mark's shoulders, sending the younger a soft smile.
"you'll do great, mark. we're all here for you, got that? and just think, you two will be officially married after this," taeyong chuckled, smiling at the younger male fondly.
"how do i look," mark asked, smiling slightly.
"with your eyes. i'm kidding, you look stunning don't worry," taeyong reassured, hugging mark tightly. taeyong has been mark's closest friend for ages. mark has so much respect for the elder.
mark looked out into the crowd, seeing smiling faces. ten gave him a thumbs up, causing mark to smile.
"all stand for donghyuck," the wedding officiant called out, which made mark's heart skip. everyone stood up, waiting for donghyuck to walk out. and when he did, mark lost his breath (literally).
he was wearing a maroon velvet tux, with a cute little bow tie, and his hair was slightly curled. mark's favorite hair style on him.
"you look stunning," mark whispered once donghyuck stood in front of him, holding mark's hands.
"you as well," donghyuck smiled, his face flushed red. mark's heart was racing, and he knew donghyuck's was racing as well.
"we are here today, to celebrate the joining of mark and donghyuck. they have decided to write their own vows. who wants to go first," the officiant asked, and donghyuck happily took the offer.
"ah, mark lee, minhyung, whatever your name is, i love you. back in high qschool, thanks to taeyong, you and i met. although how we met was interesting, i don't think that matters. what matters is what's happening right now. we're still together after all these years and i promise to stay with you for a thousand more. i love you," donghyuck chuckled, looking down to hide his face.
"donghyuck, i remember back in high school when we met. i swore to myself i wouldn't let myself fall for you. but, uh, look at how that turned out. it took persuading and a little prodding from ten and johnny to finally get us to confess. and look at us now. i love you, and i always will," mark finished, and he couldn't help but notice that donghyuck was crying.
"okay, it's time for the rings," the officiant called, signalling the entrance of jisung. and sure enough, he was wearing a blue suit and his hair was gelled back; he looked so grown up. it still made mark's heart hurt when he thinks back to when he was 15.
"you look great, jisung," donghyuck whispered, jisung shyly smiling in response. the officiant took the rings, handing donghyuck his first.
"do you, donghyuck, take mark to be your lawfully wedded husband," asked the officiant, trying to hold back his own smile.
"i do," donghyuck said as he slipped the ring on mark's finger, chuckling a little awkwardly. mark chuckled as well, not knowing what else to do.
"do you, mark, take donghyuck to be your lawfully wedded husband," the officiant, who's name was yesung, asked.
"i do," mark responded, slipping the ring on donghyuck's fingers, the both of them not really caring that they're crying.
"alright, you can now kiss your husband," yesung nodded toward mark, who grabbed donghyuck and kissed him, hearing as everyone erupted into cheers. as the two pulled away, they were pulled into hugs by whoever was close to them. taeyong was crying, holding onto mark like it was the end of the world.
"i'm so happy for you, mark. you don't even know," taeyong said through his tears, which caused mark to cry more.
"now go, we'll see you two at the party. love you," taeyong said, pushing mark and donghyuck in the direction of the doors. donghyuck was laughing, holding onto mark. mark couldn't believe he was now married to donghyuck.
"i love you, hyuck," mark said the moment they were outside, hoping in the drivers seat and starting the engine.
"and i think i love you more," donghyuck said, before mark threw the car into drive, and they drove off, their friends cheering for them. they were now officially a family, and mark wouldn't exchange that for the world.
