Cecilia let out a low grunt as she heard a phone buzzing from the other room, and put her hands over her ears, shifting in her bed so she could bury her face in her pillow, staying in that stuffed position for a short while before sitting up, ruffling her hair angrily as she looked at her closed door with an almost pleading look in her eyes.
"Why must I always wake up like this?" She impulsively grabbed her shades as she stepped out of bed and opened her bedroom door.
"Clover! Clover turn off your phone for the love of God I really don't like waking up earlier than needed!"
She closed her door again and let out a sigh as she looked around her room for her earbuds, which were practically the only things that have kept her from going insane. Even with her earbuds in, she could still hear the clattering from her roommate in the other room and she let out a soft sigh.
"It's been four years, yet she still doesn't know how to do things silently."
She stepped out of her room after getting dressed into the strangely casual school uniform which consisted of a pair of light gray jeans and a silk t-shirt in the color representing the class of someone's power, which in Cecilia's case, was a light blue.
Every day, she considered herself lucky, seeing people walk around in bright red shirts for the Element class or deep purple shirts for the Desires class. It was some way of keeping order in the school. It was impossible to know everyone's powers, but with these colored shirts, at least you kind of knew what you could expect.
Cecilia flinched as a door slammed shut behind her, feeling anything but pleasant at the unnecessary loud sound and she turned around to serve her best friend a glare for breakfast, who in return just smiled apologetically and hurried over to put on her shoes.
"I know you don't like waking up early, but it really is nice to be one of the first in one of those nice coffee shops in the morning. It always gets so chaotic with everyone gathering in the same place." She smiled warmly and Cecilia just rolled her eyes, even though she knew Clover wouldn't see it. In fact, she did it because she wouldn't see it.
"Whatever, Clover, let's just go. But you need to buy me to breakfast today as compensation for my still buzzing ears because of that bang from your door just now. I need to be compensated for the pain you're causing me every day."
Cecilia grinned and she heard Clover chuckle as she opened the door and stepped out of their little apartment, into the main hall of the Mind class' dormitory. At that moment, their neighbors at the other side of the hallway also stepped out of their apartments and Cecilia flashed them a small smile, while Clover waved at them excitedly, "good morning, Jude ! Long time no see!"
Eden smiled back and replied in a more composed manner, while Jude just nodded with a small smile playing around his lips.
"I see you two are also up early? Are you trying to find a good spot at a coffee shop before everyone else does?" Jude asked, and Clover nodded happily.
"Since it's our last year, I've decided to change my routine a bit and try to enjoy life at school a bit more. Cecilia here is a bit less appreciative of my efforts."
