The room fell silent and it seemed like all eyes were directed at Cecilia, but she ignored it and kept her gaze fixed at Eden, who seemed like he could burst out crying at any moment.

"What did you do?"

His voice was soft and broken as he spoke and he walked towards her, stopping right in front of her, looking down at her feet.

Cecilia huffed as a small smile appeared on her face, "I ran, duh."

She tried to sound as casual as possible, but she knew Eden could see her trembling. He could always see when she was weak, because that was his job.

He sat down on the bed, defeat washing over him as his shoulders sunk and he put his head in his hands.

"Cecilia I told you not to run. I always tell you not to run, you're lucky you can even walk-"

He cut himself off and looked up at her, locking eyes, "you know I can't heal this."

Cecilia's head started hurting as she felt tears well up. She knew very well that Eden couldn't heal her. She knew, yet hearing him say it to her made that fact more painful, more real.

"What do you mean, you can't heal her? That's your power, you're supposed to be able to heal everything!"

It was Anthony, who took a step towards them. Cecilia lift her gaze to look at him, but Eden looked down, at Cecilia's feet.

"Anthony, do you know what it is to heal? Do you know what it means?"

"Of course I-"

Eden cut him off, "when you heal something, you speed up the healing process. You help the body recover faster. If someone cuts off your arm, I can only help the bleeding stop and the skin to grow together, because that's the healing process that takes place in your body in that situation, but I can't grow you an arm, because your body is not trying to get your arm back, it's trying to survive."

Eden paused and Anthony immediately spoke up, "okay but no one lost their arm so why are you telling me this? This is stating the obvious."

Eden turned his body so he could face Anthony.

"Let's say you have a scar. I can't heal scars, you know why? Because your body isn't trying to get rid of it. A scar doesn't need healing. Cecilia's legs are the same case. While there are no scars, whatever is causing her this... pain, isn't recognized by her body as something that needs to be healed. She feels pain, but her body isn't injured, it's just a malfunctioning of some parts. A malfunctioning that can't be fixed by healing. If I could help her I would, but her body isn't trying to fix it, so I can't do anything but help lessen the pain a bit."

Anthony fell silent and he stared at Eden for a moment before turning to Cecilia.

"You knew all this, right? Why did you still run?"

Cecilia let out a laugh upon hearing his question.

"Why I ran? Because I knew you were going to be injured. Clover had seen it in one of her visions, which is why I left my backpack with three first-aid kits in the Blind Forest. I was going to do some investigation on why you would be injured, but things happened along the way which caused me to be late, and I didn't want you to die just because I'm not supposed to run. I needed to make up for the lost time as much as possible. If I hadn't ran, who knows what would've happened to you."

She spoke with a small, amused smile while Anthony's expression only hardened, and by the time she was finished, his teeth were clenched and his fists balled.

"I hate you."

His words came unexpected and before anyone could react, he had already left the apartment and slammed the door shut, much to Cecilia's dismay. The loud bang reminded Cecilia of the fact that she had no shades or earbuds and she turned to Eden.
