"Anthony?"

The surprise dripped from everyone's faces when Anthony walked towards his group of friends, smiling brightly and pushing a grumpy Cecilia in a wheelchair ahead of him. Their surprise didn't last long, because when they realized that Cecilia wasn't walking, concern became visible on their faces. Julian opened his mouth, probably to ask what had happened, but he was cut off by Felicia pushing her way to the front of the group, staring wide-eyed at Cecilia. Their surroundings seemed to get darker, and while the sun was shining at its brightest, a sudden shadow fell over them.

"What did you do?"

"A-ah Felicia this really isn't what it-"

Cecilia was interrupted by Clover joining Felicia at the front and speaking up, "she messed things up. Again."

Cecilia gave her friend a pleading look, hiding her surprise at Clover's distant behavior.

"Felicia I really didn't mess things up, I just knew something was going to happen so I had to run a bit, it's really no big deal."

Clover huffed, "that something wouldn't have happened if you'd just let me talk to Anthony, so you did mess up."

"Clover!" Cecilia let out an offended huff, "stop being like this, why are you so mad? They're my legs so why should you be angry at me for using them?"

Clover gave her a disgusted look, "because you never listen, Cecilia! I told you something would happen, I told you not to do stupid things, Felicia even had to hold you for god-knows-how-long and yet you have the nerves to say it's none of my business when my best friend keeps going on self-sacrificing missions? Should I be proud that you're unable to walk now just because you were too stubborn to listen to any of us?"

Cecilia gaped at her, unable to find any words to reply with because she knew Clover was right.

"Whatever, Cecilia. I've had enough."

Clover picked up her backpack and started walking away, but the worst part about it was that she seemed completely calm as she left an uncomfortable silence hanging in the group.

"I'll go after her and try to come to terms."

Matthew started going after Clover, but halted as he stood next to Cecilia, glancing at her.

"I'm going to try to calm her down, but she's right. We're grateful for your help, but this sacrifice wasn't needed."

Cecilia pursed her lips together, looking down at her legs, contemplating what she'd just heard, but her thoughts were interrupted by Felicia's frustrated voice.

"Elias, I told you so many times to not come near me! I don't care if I'm blocking the light I have a right to be angry!"

"Okay but let me at least stand near you so you can be angry without putting us in darkness. Please, the amount of sun hours are already getting less, let us appreciate it while we can."

Despite his struggle to calm Felicia down, Elias still seemed to be enjoying himself. At least, until Felicia made his hand disappear.

"Oh my god!"

Elias let out a surprised sound as some of the boys gasped, seeing Felicia's powers in action for the first time.

"I can make it disappear for good if you don't leave me alone." Felicia grinned, her need to make Elias back off probably having grown bigger than her anger.

Elias pointed at her with his still visible hand, a triumphant look on his face as he exclaimed, "you're smiling! I knew you wouldn't be able to resist me- uh, my powers for long!"
