"I can't sleep like this," Cecilia got out of bed and threw a hateful look at her wall. That was the third time in a row that questionable sounds came from the rooms in the apartment next to hers, causing Cecilia to have very long nights.

She let out a sigh and walked to her closet, "might as well go for a walk to maybe get some energy running through this useless body of mine."

She pulled up her nose as she poked her stomach a few times, throwing her reflection a disgusted look before letting out another sigh and throwing on her uniform.

The distance between the three different dormitories was even between all of them, as they formed a sort of triangle near the borders of their campus, with the school building in the center. Cecilia decided to just walk past all three dormitories to burn a few extra calories while enjoying a book. Besides, she didn't really feel like having breakfast today.

As she started approaching the big, red dormitory of the Element class, she saw someone in a red shirt slumping towards it, coming from the same way as she did. She easily recognized the figure as Anthony, and a small smile crossed her face as she sped up a little.

"Hey, Anthony!"

He stopped walking and turned around to see who'd called his name, and when he did, Cecilia slowed down, almost stopping. She'd clearly seen it go through his mind, he wasn't happy to see her. She'd already called out to him, so it would be weird to just turn around and leave, so she plastered a smile on her face as she neared him.

"Are you also taking a walk to get a bit energized before school starts?"

Anthony nodded silently, and he, too, had a fake smile on his face.

"Why don't you hang out with us during lunch, actually?" Cecilia had noticed his absence over the past four days, but the guys still seemed to be really fond of him.

She saw a sadness taking over as he replied, "I used to hang out with them, but for quite some time I've been feeling restless so I just walk around campus. How are they actually? I used to be the mood maker, so don't think badly of them if they seem a bit fazed now that I'm not around much. Although, they might've gotten used to it by now."

He smiled sadly as he looked down, and Cecilia gave him a supportive pat on the back, but he flinched, causing her to stop in her tracks.

"What was that?"

She could see how he tried to hide the fact that he had to take a deep breath before putting on a smile.

"What was what?"

"You know what I mean, Anthony. Why did you flinch?"

She could see his eyes widen a little as he answered, "well, you know, controlling heat can result in accidents sometimes. My back just hurts from a slight burn I got yesterday when trying out new things."

She felt it deep within her, a small piece of her broke at the sight of him lying. She knew exactly why he'd flinched, but it was so utterly devastating to see him hide such important truth. He'd grown so used to trying not to worry others, the lying had been an automatic reaction, almost like a reflex. Suddenly, she wasn't grateful for him even trying to be the mood maker. Suddenly, she'd rather see everyone sad, than him lying like that again.

It took her a moment of contemplating, but as she was about to say something about him lying, she saw his body stiffen and his head slightly turn to the right, as a panicked thought rung through her mind.

"They're here. I can't let them catch onto her, she needs to go! You idiot, you should've ignored her from the very beginning!"

Cecilia immediately got into action, giving Anthony the book she'd been reading during her walk, smiling politely, "thank you for lending me this book, it was really interesting! I'll see you around!"
