"Cecilia, let's go quickly I'm starving!"
"How can you not even last three hours without breakfast? Do you have a high-speed digestive machine in there?" Cecilia looked down and poked Anthony's stomach a few times before looking up at him again with a deadly serious expression marking her face, "or maybe it's a bottomless pit?"
Anthony softly bumped the top of Cecilia's head with his hand in annoyance, and she let out a whine as she rubbed the spot he had hit, "that hurt! You may not realize it but that little bump of yours felt like you whacked me on the head with a hammer!"
"That's what you get for making me skip breakfast. Now hurry up and get me some food before I start nibbling on your backpack."
"Gross."
Cecilia looked away from Anthony with a slightly disgusted look on her face, and spotted Annabelle and Julian walking through the hallways, seemingly in an argument.
"Julian please, I'm okay, you really don't need to wait for me after every class, people will get the wrong idea." Annabelle had a slightly agitated look on her face as she turned her head and saw Cecilia, which made a smile appear around her lips and she ran towards her, tackling her with a hug.
"Cecilia! I missed you!"
Cecilia almost lost her balance as she accepted Annabelle's hug, but she briefly felt a hand push her back to support her before disappearing again, and she glanced at Anthony for a moment before shifting her attention back to her best friend.
"Anna, I missed you too! Sorry for not visiting you when you got discharged, a few things happened and I got a bit distracted..."
"It's okay, I don't mind! I heard you caused some trouble, Clover crashed at my place last night and wouldn't stop talking about you and your stupidity."
"Oh my, how nice of her." Cecilia rolled her eyes and then broke the hug with Annabelle, who took a hold of Cecilia's arms and spoke up again, this time with a concerned look on her face, "please be careful Cecilia, none of us can afford losing you."
She squeezed her arm briefly before smiling brightly again and letting go of Cecilia, "well then, I'm off to see the others! See you two later!"
She winked at Cecilia before walking off, leaving Julian behind. Cecilia glanced at him and was pleasantly surprised by his fond thoughts of Annabelle. She let out a soft huff and crossed her arms, but before she could speak up, Anthony grabbed her hand and started walking past his friend.
"Sorry Julian, we'll talk again later but right now I'm dying of hunger. See you later!"
Anthony continued speed walking through the hallways until Cecilia finally managed to jerk her hand out of his, immediately losing her balance and having to lean against the wall. Anthony halted and turned around with a slightly agitated look which disappeared the moment he saw Cecilia in that state. He hurried over to her, worry evident on his face as he made her sit on the ground, and kneeled down to take one of her shoes off.
"Your feet are so swollen, yet you're too stubborn to use your wheelchair one more day."
He didn't look up at her as he pulled off her sock, too, and lift up her leg so he could take a look at the sole of her foot, and he was surprised by a big, purple bruise. He looked up at Cecilia with big eyes, and she looked away.
"Sometimes it becomes a bruise, nothing to worry about."
Anthony remained silent for a while before slowly placing her foot on his thigh and putting on her sock and shoe again. He placed her foot back on the ground, and turned around, "get on."
