Elle's POV
Today we are having an event. It'll be an awarding ceremony of the best alumna of a known university. Mejo malaki ang event na ito so I am on my 'hands-on' mode kahit na kasama ko ang Em-em ko.
Em-em's been out of her mood since morning at hindi ko maiwan because she'll cry non-stop that would make her have a fever. So I decided to bring her with me. Luckily, my staff Maye was kind enough to look after this baby girl.
The event was a pool of good looking people, all in their best suit and gowns. Kaya naman me and my people did everything to make this perfect.
The award giving ceremony was a blast. The best of the best were given awards. Nakahinga na ako mg maluwag when it was dinner already. I believe they can take it from here so I think we need to head home. I asked Maye to look after my Em-em while I check on the food and the head organizer.
"Ma'am Elle!" Maye called me as I was doing my final checking
"Maye! Asan si Em-em?" tanong ko
Worry and fear is very visible on her face.
"Nagpakuha po kasi ng juice Ma'am, pagbalik ko po wala na sa upuan nya. Sorry Ma'am. Sorry po talaga Ma'am." For sure Em-em played a trick on Maye kaya naman hinawakan ko ang kamay nya to tell her that it's fine and all we need to do is find that little girl.
"Ay naku! Sige hanapin natin. Sabihin mo din sa iba. Talaga itong anak ko. Haii" sabi ko to be able to find my missing daughter.
Maybe Em's so bored. Dapat talaga hindi ko na lang isinama dito eh! Jusko. Kung bakit ba kasi, kung sino ang anak kong babae, sya ang sobra sobra ang likot. Si Pj, payapa namang nagpaiwan kay Nette.
Almost all of the staff were searching for Em-em. Ang worry ko lang, baka nasa ilalim ng mesa ang batang yun. Ang hilig hilig pa namang magtago.
"Em-em!"
And there I found my baby girl, seating on the lap of one of the guests. Happily chatting while almost all of us are so worried. Aiii ang anak ko talaga.
"Mama!" Em jumped off the man and went to me.
She looks like a mess. A doll with blue mess all over. Nakakaloka.
"Ay nako ka talaga. Bakit ka umalis sa seat mo ng walang paalam kay Ate Maye? Bad yun Em-em! Nagcacry na si Ate Maye akala nya nawawala ka na!"
I said as I carry her. Then I turned to the man holding this little girl kanina.
"Hi Sir! I am very sorry about this. Sobrang likot po talaga ng batang ito. Sorry sir." The guy's smiling pero pagtingin ko sa damit nya, my eyes widened. Shit may stains at mukhang galing sa kamay ng batang buhat ko na ngayon.
"Oh my God Sir! Yung damit mo po, I'm really really sorry. Ah Sir, ako na lang po magpapa dryclean ng damit nyo or kung hindi matanggal ang stains, I'll buy you a new pair. I am really sorry. Sorry po talaga." Sabi ko
"I don't remember you being a schoolmate?" The guy said
"I am not actually."
"So you must be a wife of my schoolmate?"
"Ah no. I am actually working for WorkBoxPh. We were the hired marketing and events arm for this event."
"Oh I see. By the way, I am Oliver Tatiangco."
He gave out his hand kaya lang hindi naman ako makakashake hands kasi nga buhat buhat ko si Em.
