As expected, bright lights, picturesque place, overly expensive silk overflowing the whole place that shouts for elegance, beautiful flowers that costs generous amount and big screens around can be seen. Other than the place, exquisite wines are being served with only high class cheese and fairly lavish menu.
The program has started. Last year, I emceed the event, ngayon as I am a nominee, hindi ako pedeng sumali sa preparation ng program.
"Hi Elle, you look really gorgeous tonight." Sabi ni Ms Chin ang aming HR Manager

With that reaction, para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig. Ma'am Chin is the HR Manager. She should know for sure who'll gonna be promoted. Sht! Kinakabahan ako. Does this mean I didn't make it?
"Ahmn, as marketing manager po sana." mahinang sagot ko
Ms. Chin looks like she was in deep thought. With her doubtful looks, I am rattled. May ilang dumating para batiin si Ma'am kaya hindi na ako nakapagtanong pa. I just went straight to the powder room para makahinga.
"Oh Hi Elle, how are you? You're so beautiful tonight!" I went here to keep myself sane pero mali ang pinuntahan ko
"I wish to tell you the same." tanging sagot ko
"Oh, is your dress made by Ms. Allana? Sayang, should you have known the result, hindi ka na sana nageffort. You should have just wore an rtw."
Before coming here, the ground where I stand seemed to be solid. But now, I am feeling shaken. Dapat na nga ba akong kabahan? But hey, I did the best I can. I just never mind was Jaimie said. Umalis na ako doon at patuloy na nakihalubilo sa mga tao.
The moment has come. Unang nagbigay ng awards para sa exemplerary employees. I am thankful, ako pa rin ang best employee for 5 consecutive years.
The announcement for promotion had started. Nagsisimula sa mga bago, yung mga nagiging regular employee, then supervisory, then specialists which, I will vacate if ever I will be promoted.
"And for our new Marketing Manager, she joined us 6 years ago, she'd been the best in her field. " my heart started to pump faster thab normal. We are 4 nominees in this position.
