Ep.14- A Bigger Trouble

"Aminin mo! Anong kinalaman mo sa mga nangyari?" I'm confronting Marian right now. 

"A-anong bang nangyari Cheska? Hindi ko alam ang sinasabi mo." halata sa mukha nya na pinagtatakpan nya lang ang sarili. 

"Muntik na akong makidnap nang di oras! At yun ay dahil sa pagdeliver ko nung envelope na yun. Ano ba talagang laman nun? Bakit sinabi mo na si Principal ang nagpapadeliver nun?" 

"Eh kasi hindi mo naman yun gagawin kung hindi ko sinabi na si Principal ang nagpapautos eh." now she looks all bothered. 

"Oh di inamin mo rin!" 

"Uh.. Kalimutan mo na yung sinabi ko!" sabay tumayo sya at astang aalis. 

"No! You need to explain!" pigil ko sakanya. 

"It's not that I~ .... Ugh!" napaluhod nalang sya bigla sa harapan ko, "I'm really sorry Cheska! I'm scared! I didn't know what to do! I'm really really sorry." she sounds like she's crying. 

"No no don't do that!" I helped her stand, "Gusto ko lang na magexplain ka. That's all." I'm trying to be smooth to put her at ease. 

"Eh kasi... kasi... I'm being threatened." 

"What? By who?" 

"Let me tell you the whole story." she sighed, "It all started 2 days ago.."

Naupo ako at naghandang makinig sakanya. "Go on.."

"I was walking on my way home when someone called me. Nagpikilala sya saaking bilang Lance Punzalan." 

"Y-you mean, ang school president ng Ridge high?" I ask.

"Oo sya nga. Anyway, napansin nyang taga Suther high ako dahil sa uniform na suot ko. He asked me for a favor. He offered me money in exchange of information about something. At first, ayokong makinig sakanya since he is a completely stranger. But when he handed me the money, I learned that he wasn't really kidding."

"And what is that information he asked?" 

"Information about the school's system? Kung automated ba tayo o manual." 

"And what did you say?" 

"Of course sinabi kong Automated tayo dahil obvious naman na yun since modern na ang lahat."

"And what happened next?" 

"After kong sagutin yun, he then offered me another deal. In exchange for another information, he'll give me a higher amount. Now he asked if I know who's incharge of the system. For where it is located and how does it work. I said I didn't know. But he again, gave me another offer. Kung maibibigay ko daw ang information na yun sakanya, the payment will be tripled. So the next day, I immidiately asked the principal about it and  took note on every bit of information he gave. Lance, however, instructed me to meet his crew on a specific place. Nung inabot ko sakanila yung notes, nag-abot din sila saakin ng sobre na may lamang pera." 

Now that explains why she looks so suspicious when I saw her the last time. If you remember, umoorder ako nun sa isang fast food chain nang makita ko sya across the road. I knew she was up to something! 

"After that," she continued, "Nalaman ko ang background ni Lance. My friend saw me dealing with his crew. Ayon sa kaibigan ko, mayaman daw sila Lance at sila ang may ari ng Ridge high. They wanted to own our school so badly up to the point na gusto nilang bilhin ito. But our principal didn't allow them no matter how much they offer it to him. Kaya naman si Lance na ang kumilos mismo. He's planning to hack our system!" she said in a terrified voice.
