xvii. Gideon Rises

Y/n's pov

I was in the middle of sleeping until I heard the words "Child physic Gideon Gleeful has taken surprise ownership on the Mystery Shack" and I immediately shot up from my bed and yelled.

I looked around and saw everyone watching tv and Dipper was sitting at the feet of my bed, laughing. I kicked him with my foot and laughed at him as he fell off.

I heard Mabel trying to hold in a squeal but failed. I wonder if she saw what happened last night? Oh right...last night. It felt like a really good dream I didn't want to wake up from.

I sat at the end of the bed and patted the spot next to me for Dipper to sit and when he did I blushed which Mabel must have seen because I heard her squeal behind me.

I listened to the tv lady talking to Gideon and how he had a big surprise coming up.

"I just can't believe Gideon beat us." Dipper said resting his elbows on his knees and putting his head down on them. "Normally we're able to save the day." He then looked at me at the word 'we're' "This is all my fault." He said quieter and I put my hand on his shoulder and shook my head.

Mabel joined us. "Don't worry, Dipper. Looks like Mabel is going to have to be the hero of the family now. I'll defeat Gideon with my grappling hook!" She then took out her grappling hook and made a fist with her other hand.

"Mabel no offense but that grappling hook has literally never helped us." I spoke up towards Mabel because it was true, sure it can take out a light and hurt someone but when have we used it?

"Oh yeah? Jelly grab!" She shot it to try and get a jar of jam but instead it exploded and I took that as my cue to take a shower.

We all got into disguises and headed for the closing of the Mystery Shack we were dressed in dark colors.

I had a white nike cap on with sunglasses and a white tank top with black pants because it was too hot for me to wear a huge jacket.

We made our way to a spot so we could see Gideon. I was very tempted to walk up there right now and punch him but didn't because of the two body guards I saw hiding around the corner.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! I am delighted to announce my new plans for the former Mystery Shack. I give you...Gideon Land!" Gideon announced as he ripped off the sheet that was covering a little table beside him and it revealed a massive amusement park with Gideon's face everywhere on it.

I wanna punch all of those faces right now.

"We are going to turn this dirty old Shack into three square miles of Gideon entertainment!"

I started walking towards him rolling up my imaginary sleeves but was stopped by Dipper gripping my arm and giving me a look. I sighed and stopped walking towards Gideon.

"And interdicting our new mascot...Little Gideon Junior!" Bud Gleeful revealed Waddles who had the same jacket on and same hair as Gideon did.

"Waddles! You monster!" Mabel yelled and that's when Grunkle Stan started taking off his disguise and headed towards Gideon with me closely behind and Dipper still holding my arm. He let go and we all crawled onto the stage and started talking to the crowd.
