Dipper's pov

We made our way back to the Mystery Shack with a memoryless Grunkle and four heavy hearts. Weirdmaggeddon was over and so was Summer. I couldn't even bare to think about leaving Y/n.

We approached the Shack which was broken and in shambles but I didn't care. I busted the door open with my body and led everyone through the Shack to make sure it wouldn't fall on top of us. Grunkle Stan had to remember us. I can't leave him like this.

"Hey this is a real nice place you got here." Grunkle Stan said as we walked into the living room and a piece of the ceiling fell down and Mabel and I let go of his hand as he made his way to his chair.

I know he doesn't have his memory but I guess his instinct is still there.

"It's your place Grunkle Stan." I sadly told him.

Y/n took a step forward and frowned. "Don't you remember? Even a little?"

She didn't deserve to have to go through all of this. She was way too good for the end of the world. She did have a lot of explaining to do though. I remember her saying stuff about her parents and Bill and something about the rift?..I don't remember it all happened too fast.

"Nope. But this chair hugs my butt like it remembers." Stan said as he closed his eyes and sunk into his chair.

I rubbed my arm and looked at the ground in defeat. Clearly this wasn't working. But what will?

"Hey why the long faces? You guys look like it's someone's funeral. Who's that big guy crying in the corner?" Stan pointed at Soos who was crying and I didn't have the energy, and I wasn't in the mood, to smile at Stans humor.

"He saved the world, but what's the point. Grunkle Stan doesn't remember he's Grunkle Stan anymore." I shoved my hand in my pockets and felt Y/n's hand on my shoulder. I knew it was her hand because I was so used to it already that it was quite comforting.

"There has to be soemthing we could do to jog Grunkle Stan's memory!" Mabel spoke up, sounding bummed out but frustrated at the same time.

"There isn't. I'm sorry. Stans gone." Ford said depressingly, starring at his brother.

I couldn't imagine Mabel and I going through what these two were going through. That's why I can't take Ford's apprenticeship.

I felt Y/n let go of me and run over to something across the room. "I won't accept that." She handed Mabel her scrapbook and we brought it over to Grunkle Stan as Y/n's plan was succeeding.

Grunkle Stan was remembering.

We stood outside the Shack with a birthday cake with a number 14 on it and our closest friends gathered around Mabel and I.

We couldn't help but smile and I couldn't help but stare at Y/n as I listened to her sing. We've been dating for how long now and I haven't listened to her sing? It was beautiful. Not as perfect as her though. How am I going to be able to leave her?

The rest of the townsfolk cheered for us as they were spread across the lawn with party hats on.

"I can't believe you all got together just to throw a party for us!" Mabel said as her hands gestured out to the crowd around her and I smiled.
