Chapter 25 ~ The truth

James POV:
'When Piper saw the success I was having in dancing and how much I enjoyed it, she wanted to be the excat same as me' I tell Riley.
'So mom took her to her first dance lesson and she instantly fell in love with it. Every evening after school she would come home and go to the basement and practice. She got so good that she was better than everyone else in her class. So they moved her up to the highest level with me. They entered her into competitions and as you saw she came first in all of them. Well after they won nationals-'
'Wait. Did you say she won nationals?'
'Yeah'
'Wow!'
I smile.
'Sorry. Continue'
'Anyway after they won Piper went through a hard time at the studio. The other dancers started bulling her cause they thought that she was showing off. I tried to stop it but it didnt work. Piper forced me not to say anything to mom about it so I didnt. Then when we moved here I somehow convinced her to keep it going. So she auditioned for the next step and when she got in everyone wanted her on A troupe but she refused because she didnt want to go through it again. My mom questioned her on it and eventually she had to spill the beans on why she didnt want to be on A troupe. Miss Kate was also told about it. Since then shes never wanted to be on A troupe and she never will again'
She looks at me.
'Wow. I did not expect that'
I nod.
'Just promise me you wont say anything? Please?'
She nods.
'I wont. I promise'
'Thanks'
We sit in silence.
'I think its better if you dont mention anymore about A troupe to her. Shes happy in B and if thats what makes her happy then so be it' I tell her.
'Yeah'
'Besides we have regionals comming up and we have to focus on that now'
She nod.
I get up.
'You wanna watch a movie?'
'Sure'
We go downstairs and watch one.
As much as I want Piper to be on A troupe I cant force her. If shes happy then Im okay with that.
I dont want to see her getting hurt again.
