Chapter 31 ~ Trip

James POV:

It feels amazing to be regionals winners. Weve all just had a few days off and we're back in the studio.
Kate approaches us.
'Allright guyes! Congradulations on winning regionals!'
We all clap.
'I have an announcement to make. Since you guyes did so well and worked so hard, I booked a holliday for all of us for one week in Miami!'
We all cheer and Riley and Emily jump up and down together. Im glad Miss Kate booked it.
I think we all deserve a break especially Emily and Riley. Theyve been through so much and I think this will do them good.
'The flight is this afternoon around 3:00 so head home and pack and Ill see you guyes here around 11:00 so we can be there nice and early' she smiles.
We leave. I go over to Emily and Riley.
'Will I pick you guyes up later?'
'If you dont mind'
'No problem. Ill see you later'
I rush home and run inside.
'Hello! Im home!'
'James? What are you doing home? I thought you had dance?' mom says to me.
'I do. But I have news. Family meeting. Lets go'
She gets Piper, Kevin and dad and we all sit in the sitting room.
'Since we did so good at regionals, Miss Kate has booked a flight to Miami for one week for all of A troupe to celebrate'
'James thats awsome!' Piper smiles.
'What time is the plane?'Kevin asks.
'Around 3:00. We're meeting at the studio at 11:00'
'Thats great son!' dad smiles.
'Now make sure you pack plenty of things. Dont forget your suncream. Youll need it for the heat' mom tells me.
'Mom I can take care of myself' I smile.
'I know that! But I like to help!'
I laugh.
'Im going up to pack. I dont want to be late'
'Since when were you ever going to be early?' Kevin asks.
'I have to pick up the Raymonds on the way'
'Oh so your just trying to impress Riley!' Piper smiles.
'Dont even think about turning out like Kevin Pipes! One annoying sibling is enough!'
We laugh.
I go upstairs to get ready.

When Ive finished packing I bring my case downstairs. They are all waiting for me in the hallway.
'

Ill see you in a week' I tell them.
My mom hugs me.
'Bye James. Have fun'
'I will'
My dad hugs me too.
'Bye son. Enjoy. And keep in touch'
'I will'
I look at Kevin.
'One full week without me bro. Enjoy it while you can'
'Dont worry man. I will'
We smile and hug.
Piper hugs me.
'Bye James. Ill miss you'
'Ill miss you too sis'
I turn to the door and walk out. I put my things in the car. I take one last look back at my family and smile as I get into the car and drive off to collect Emily and Riley.

....Some time later....

We are all on the plane going to Miami and we're so excited.
Riley is sitting next to me reading her book. I smile.
'You excited?' I ask.
'Yeah. Its the first time that me and Emily has been away since you know what'
I nod and take her hand.
'Well at least you can enjoy it'
'Yeah. I just wish they were with us. They always wanted to go to Miami'
'Well they are with us. And they cant wait to get there. Im pretty sure they are very proud of you and Emily'
She nods.
'I really miss them'
'I know you do'
'They would have loved you'
'You think?'
'Yeah. I mean your just so...well you. Unique and amazing and perfect. Just how you should be'
I smile and kiss her.
'Yo James!'
I turn back to West.
'Yeah?'
'Do you think the Pacific water and the Atlantic water are the same?'
'Yeah. Why?'
'Well my uncle gave me a bottle of pacific ocean water. When we get there I want to pour it into the atlantic water and see if anything will happen'
'Like what?'
'A nuclear explosion or something!'
'West! Its water!'
'Youd never know James!'
I roll my eyes and sit back on the seat.
'West is the biggest idiot I have ever met' I tell Riley.
'I know' she laughs.
I cant wait till we get there!
Its going to be awsome!
