Rileys POV:
James has been allowed stay at home in bed provided he rests. He stirs and wakes up. I smile.
'Riley?'
'Hey. How are you?'
'Im a bit better'
I smile. I take his hands.
'I understand if you hate me for what Ive done'
'What are you talking about?'
'Im the reason your like this. I pilled all my problems on your shoulders and look what happened'
'Dont blame yourself. Its not your fault'
'But I-'
'Riley. This isnt your fault. Besides, Im fine. Im feeling much better'
'But I just feel so guilty'
'Dont be. Okay?'
I nod.
'Riley I...'
He stops and looks at me.
'What is it?'
'I love you Riley'
I look at him.
'I know we havent been together that long and things havent been easy, but I love you. And Ill never stop loving you'
'I dont know what to say'
'You could tell me if you feel the same way'
'I-'
Someine walks in.
'James! Your awake!' Piper smiles happily.
He draws his gaze away from me and smiles at her.
'Hey Pipes!'
She jumps onto the bed and hugs him.
'How are you feeling?'
'Im good. How are you?'
'Good'
Piper was at her friend Skylers for a sleep over for a few nights so its her first time seeing James since he collasped.
'I...um...Im gonna go. I have some homework to catch up on. So I guess Ill see you later' I say akwardly.
'Okay. Bye' Piper smiles.
Me and James look at eachother.
'Bye Riley' he says quietly.
'Bye'
I leave and sigh.
I knew James loved me because Piper told me. Its just strange hearing him say it to me.
I go home and Emily smiles when she sees me.
'Hey Riley! Hows James?'
'Hes fine' I say sitting down.
She comes over and sits next to me.
'Allright. What happened?'
'Nothing'
'I know you pretty well by now. And I know when your lying'
I sigh.
'James told me he loves me'
'What! Thats so cute! What did you say!'
'I-I didnt say anything. And the worst thing is he wants to know if I feel the same way. Im just so confused'
'Whats confusing about it? You either love him or you dont'
'I know. Its just...it all seems to be moving so fast. I dont know what to think'
She nods.
'Well theres no rush with it. Just because he said he loves you doesnt mean you have to say it back straight away'
I smile.
'Since when did you become an expert in romance?'
'Well you know me. I have my ways of finding out these things'
I laugh.
'Just take your time Ri. Theres no rush'
I nod.
She gets up and walks off.
I just want James to get better before I think about anything else. That and I want to wait till Im sure about how I feel about him. For now Im gonna keep quiet and just say I like him. His health is more important than our relationship right now. I just want him to get better.
