Chapter 29 ~ Dancing with Seeds

James POV:
We're getting ready to go on and perform for the semi finals. Seeds are going up against us. If we win this we move onto the finals.
West comes over to me.
'Bro I need to talk to you'
'Okay'
'Im in a tough situation'
'What?'
'Well you know how I have history with Seeds?'
'Bro what have you done?'
'I didnt do anything. Its just their down one dancer'
'Why?'
'Tony got stuck at the border. Their hoping hes going to show up on time but their about to go on'
'Okay. But whats it got to do with you?'
'I want to help them out. I want to dance with them'
'You want to dance against our rival team?'
'Yes'
'Bro this is a bad idea. If you injure yourself we wont even get to dance'
'I know that. But Im not going to injure myself'
'Im not the one you should be asking. You need to tell Miss Kate'
He nods.
'Okay'
He goes over to her.
'What was that about?' Riley asks.
'Seeds is a dancer down and he wants fo dance with them.'
'What!'
'Shhh. Hes going to talk to Miss Kate'
He comes  back over.
'Well?'
'Yeah. I managed convince her to let me dance with them'
I sigh.
'Allright bro. But we need you back on time. We cant do this without you. Its the semi finals'
'Dont worry. Ill be back on time'
I nod and he leaves.
'I dont think this is a good idea' Riley says to me.
'No its not. But we cant do anything now. We just have to hope he doesnt injure himself'
She nods.
We watch as Seeds goes on stage. The rest of the team look at West.
'Is that West!' Emily screeches
'Yes it is' I tell her.
'Whats he doing out there!'
'He wanted to help them since their short a dancer. He wants to get even with them'
'But we're on after! We need him!'
I turn her towards me.
'Em. Relax. Hes going to be fine. Hell be back on time'
She sighs.
'You know Riley is really lucky to have you as her boyfriend'
I nod and look over at her talking to Michelle.
'Im lucky to have her too' I tell her.
'She was so broken before she met you. And I couldnt even help her'
'Hey. Dont say that. Youve done everything. You gave up school just so you could have a roof over your head. If thats not been a good person, then nothing is'
'Thanks James'
I hug her.
We put our focus back on Seeds as they start their dance. I hope West can pull this off.

They killed it! I just hope we can do the same.
'Allright guyes. Bring it in' Kate says.
We gather around her.
Now this is-'
'Wheres West?' Emily asks.
We look around and see hes not there.
'Guyes. Hes here'
He approaches us but looks like hes limping.
'Guyes. I kinnda injured myself dancing with Seeds. Im sorry'
I look at him.
'Bro why are you dresses in costume?' I ask knowing that hes not really injured.
He smiles.
Everyone lets out a sigh of relife. Emily grabs him.
'Dont ever do that again! I swear I nearly dropped down dead!'
We all laugh.
'Okay guyes. This is it. If you win this were going to the finals! So get put there and kill it!' Kate smiles.
'Hands in! Three. Two. One!'
'THE NEXT STEP!'
We go on stage and start.

We wait on stage for our score.
'The next step scores 92 points defeating Seeds and moving onto the finals!'
We all cheere and run off stage.
Riley runs over to me.
'Were going to the finals!' she smiles.
'Yeah we are!'
Seeds comes over to us.
'Well done guyes. I guess we underestimated you' Marcelle says.
West goes over to them.
'Yeah maby you did man' he smiles.
'Thanks for filling in for Tony'
'No problem. It feels good to help out. But are we even now? No more hard feelings over me leaving?'
'None man. We're good. And if you want us to help you with anything just call yeah?'
'Sure. Thanks man. And sorry for knocking you out'
'Hey. You learned from the best right? We made you the dancer you are now!'
They smile at eachother.
'We gotta go. Good luck in the finals. Im sure youll kill it'
'Thanks man'
'Bring it in guyes!' Marcelle shouts to us.
We all hug.
Im so glad we won the semi finals and that the whole Seeds drama is sorted.
Regionals finals here we come baby!
