I just had my first day of high school. It was great! I made a friend!
Some band related stuff:
So, at my high school, we have four lunches: A, B, C, and D. Each grade goes to one lunch: 9th to A, 10th to B, 11th to C, and 12th to D. I'm a freshman, so I have A lunch.
Every other freshman in the entire cafeteria:
"Oh my gosh, it's so crowded!"
"It took most of lunch time to go through the lunch line!"
"Where at my friends?!"
"Is the food terrible?"
And Me: "Why the heck do the drum majors have A lunch?"
And English class. We did one of those squares on a paper things with a big square with multiple boxes inside of it with certain facts inside them, like 'blue eyes' or 'in the band' or 'has a dog', where you have to have someone sign a square that applies to them. The teacher said, "Okay, class, when I say 'go', go meet someone. GO!"
And of course, my band instincts told me to respond with, "Go!"
